This year will mark Y&R's 45th year

Yep! Granted I don’t know if 45 is usually that big of a milestone for soaps, but i feel like if SSM were still writing, we would be getting something decent for the anniversary.

We will probably get a celebratory vintage episode from 2015!

Remember getting Victor/Nikki's first wedding? Yeah, we won't see anything like that again....

They should have pulled out an old Dina episode.....I guess that's asking a lot, but I would have loved to have seen anything from 1983-85 be shown....

Y&R should mark the 45th anniversary with a major house cleaning, and not just a cast purge. If the Bells care about preserving Bill Sr.'s legacy, they need to step up.

Honestly I read somewhere she is the one who inherited her father's talent. I never actually read anything written by her. I just feel like we might as well try, you know? I don't think she would be as ADD as her brother or as destructive as MAB.

But then again, it's not like CBS is investing in the show long-term. She would probably last 9 month and get booted. There's no point in hoping or fantasizing.

I say give her a try as HW. She probably wouldn't want it.

 

Why are Christine and Paul SO thirsty to nail Victor and put him away? I mean, I wish they would, but the writing for these two ... sad. They could be dayplayers.

I get that Y&R couldn't do much worse, but I don't know how I'd feel with someone who may not have even written a short story writing a whole soap.
