Tonight, it was announced that Megan Kelly is leaving FOX for NBC.  In the article it states that Kelly will host a daytime news program and a Sunday evening news program.  The Deadline article states that the daytime program time is TBA and mentions that it could  be a replacement for an hour of Today, Access Hollywood Live, or DAYS?  We will have to stay tuned to NBC's decision.

I think DAYS contract expires this year. It would be sad if this was the final year. Meredith Vieria tanked bad so i am not sure if this will do well.

Like I suspected they're eyeing her to take over the 9am hour but it's far from certain. Let's not count Days out yet. So many elsewhere imo jumped the gun assuming Days is dead.

Considering they are 6 months ahead that just leaves them with 6 months to wrap things up!

Granted, we've had cancellation scares consistently since 2003, but this sounds a bit more ominous. 

 

I don't suppose ABC would be interested in cancelling Port Charles, shortening One Life to Live to a half-hour, and taking DAYS over? Sorry, 1998 flashback.

The reports are she is getting two shows. One in the daytime and the other in primetime a la Dateline/20/20 type of show.

Sadly that's probably exactly what will happen. They'll cancel Days only to cancel her show after it fails. What a waste it will be.

So there's some sources saying she's getting the third hour of TODAY, another say they are cancelling DAYS. Both probably have bits of truth to them. I doubt NBC has 100% decided what they are going to do. Giving her the third hour of Today or cancelling DAYS are the two likeliest outcomes. If you source is in the NBC News division, they might be telling one thing. If your source is in the NBC Entertainment division, they might be saying something else.

No that's the Fourth Hour. The Third Hour was hosted by Billy Bush I believe.
