Peck was a little diva jerk I believe which why he was fired in 2002 and claimed to "have learned his lesson" upon his return in 2005, which was months before Clark had returned because JER was originally going to a Sami/Austin/Nicole triangle that ended up going nowhere.

Maybe its his Matthew McConaughey approach to hygiene, i.e. doesn't use deodorant.   I'm assuming at this point, he isn't all Jesus-happy as it'd be quite hypocritical... 

 

Whatevs, as a viewer I'd rather see Peck in the role. I'm not here for behind-the-scenes camaraderie or helping to pay Heather Tom's bills (that's for another thread).

I don't know about more recent years, but during his first run, after he became a born-again Christian, he would push and push and try to "save" people, and didn't understand that they weren't happy about it. He said as much in later interviews.

I remember an interview with him and CC that they discussed his not using deodorant.  I also remember him being kind of pushy about Jesus.  I think he still is.  Is he still married to Terri?  Because her Twitter feed is all about her faith.

It's starting to come back to me.  Back then, he was the perfect example of hot until he opened his mouth.
