There are quite a few choices to play the recast for Abigail. Honestly Kristen Alderson should play Abigail she would be a great successor to the great Kate Mansi. She has the sex appeal and drive to play Abigail.

My exact thought reading this thread title. Young characters on soaps are not well developed to need someone with soap experience and there aren't that many soaps left so recast characters are usually newcomers.

If Kim Matula wasn't succeeding in doing what they all want to do - land a primetime and/or film gig - I would vote her as 1st choice. But she'll only return to B&B on guest appearances, and bless her lil heart for it. Perhaps one day she'll be back permanently like Jacquie M. Wood.
