Molly Burnett is returning to "Days of Our Lives" as Melanie Jonas in January. Her length of stay is not yet announced. Will she be around for an extended stay, or to just help wrap up the Daniel storyline?

I hate this character. I'm sure it's short-term and because she is his daughter she should be back. Unfortunately.

 

Anyway, I agree with others that if Daniel receives a better send-off than Bo or Will I'll probably riot. At least he's finally going to be off our screens and he hasn't even appeared in what feels like weeks. It's been a win. I really have never been so happy to see the news that Shawn Christian was leaving. Sorry to him but Daniel was hands down one of the worst characters ever. And extremely loathed by a lot of fans.

Trust me, Daniel's funeral will make Alice Horton's seem like a blip by comparison.

I want her to cry so hard at Daniel's funeral that she has a stroke and croaks right on top of his coffin. They then throw some dirt over her and bury her with him. 2 for 1, everyone's happy, and DAYS wins an Emmy for Best Drama for it. 

I'm sure Matthew Ashford is actually appearing to usher Daniel into Heaven...

Actually, Jack will be there (as an angel) when they roll away the stone and find Daniel's body has disappeared.

Why...she is one of the most hated characters ever to exist...we can't have Marie Horton for Christmas but we get this tool this is exactly what is wrong with days of our lives one step forward 88 back.
