Members ReddFoxx
I guess can't get anywhere was the wrong way to phrase it, because Grahn does have a job. Most actors do have an ego, though and there is a need for more when it comes to accolades or recognition. GH probably isn't going to last much longer and Grahn is not likely to be heard from again after it's gone, whereas Viola Davis is in a better position. Members Wizzerkat
When you are famous/semi famous and you out your foot in your mouth(or people think you did), you can: 1. You or you and your PR person come up with a suitable apology/explanation and then be quiet until social media gets their next outrage(which is usually in a few hours to a few days) 2. Be prepared to defend your statements with some sort of facts or anything that would at least garner some support/sympathy from non-crazy people. 3. Just own the remarks and let the chips fall where they may. Whining and/or playing victim never garners sympathy or makes anyone want to defend you. It almost always makes the situation worse. NLG should know this by now.
Members MissLlanviewPA
What's strange to me is that she's spoken before about how GRATEFUL she is to daytime and GH, because it's a steady job for a working woman like her, who is single with a young daughter. She's been a daytime cheerleader for years. So the idea that she's complaining about not being in primetime seems...odd, to me, to say the least. Especially now, when she's been there for so long. Members rhinohide
If I recall, Patricia Arquette got slammed by black feminists after her acceptance speech at the Oscars.
Members ReddFoxx
There just seemed to be some bitterness behind the tweet. I'm not going to dispute that she is grateful for her job, but as I said actors and actresses have egos, and there is always that need for more. Members Darn
No matter how successful they are on daytime they all wish they were richer/more famous. NLG wishes she was half as success and celebrated in the daytime community itself as Viola Davis is in primetime and film, let's be real.
Members Khan
Don't you just LOVE the Skokie, IL public school system? But seriously, y'all, has Shonda spoken yet? I have my popcorn and 3-D glasses at the ready!
Members ajsp35801
as they should have...she excluded black women, gay women, etc from her normative feminist group. The whole intersectionality thing went right past her. She needed correcting and educating. Much like Nancy. Arquette's comment" “It’s time for all the women in America and all the men that love women, and all the gay people, and all the people of color that we’ve all fought for to fight for us now,” l
Members MissLlanviewPA
AFAIK, she hasn't. And now Nancy has gotten a shoutout on a Dlisted article about Viola's win last night. I'm thinking she won't be Hot Slut of the Day anytime soon now! OTOH, sounds like MK's a GH fan: http://dlisted.com/2015/09/21/icymi-viola-davis-speech-after-making-history/
Members frequentsoapfan
I'm waiting for Shonda to drag her ass. I've seen Shonda drag people before. Anyway it is a little sad that this is taking away from Viola's win. But I'm glad NLG exposed herself. She used to say some stereotypical ish about latinos too and then say she was alllowed to say it because she's friends with MB.

Members alphanguy74
Well, glad that Nancy finally realizes that it don't pay to support equality unless you march right down that white line in the road and don't DARE step off of it, not even 1 CM. Now she knows ungrateful a$$holes will turn on you the minute you scratch your ass the wrong direction. A woman will never be president, and this is why. They can't stop clawing at each other long enough to change their tampons.
