Off topic, but did anything ever come of the pilot "Hey Day" Kimberly McCullough was directing? Just wondering if anything ever came of it. I thinl it was supposed to be a web series or something..

I hope it's a huge success to keep that dullard off of GH!

When people kept on saying they couldn't wait for Tony Geary to be off the show, who was it exactly did they assume was going to get all his airtime?   I said months ago again and again:  once Luke left the show would be all one dimensional same nothing because Luke brought a variety of stories and characters when he was around.  Now all there is is Sonny and his pals and gals.   There is only one family now, one story.  At least when Luke was on the Spencers were a going concern, Tracy was around, you got the occasional supervillain.   Now you have all the Corinthos Clan on front and center.   I'd rather watch RC's Fluke then listen to Alexis go on about Julian not being in the mob, or Michael pretending he is a mob boss.

I guess there was hope they'd wouldn't concentrate on Sonny so much.  But I'm not sorry Luke is gone.  I couldn't stand him and this is coming from someone that used to love him.  Now, I just don't watch. Too much Sonny Hospital.  Gag.

It was never a pilot despite the soap rags proclaiming that. It was a reading on a stage with her fellow GH friends

I have to say the scenes between Ava and Michael wowsa. This was what smarttv is all about. Deep pyschological complex writing that gets into our brains. West and Duell had spectacular chemistry. Just fabulous stuff. One week until Jelly are in the credits as Jean said on her twitter. The show tone is more serious, core vets and just fabulous stuff. Anyone noticed Rons pets Dr O, Franco and Nina have been missing? Jelly are off to a great start. Hearing November sweeps is amazeballs.

It's smart going back to mob Sonny it sold well. Jelly really are channeling Guza a bit in their new vision. This GH should be on Showtime.

Sigh........

although I guess there are some viewers who would go crazy over seeing Paeveys, Duells, Craig's, Millers and Watkins bare asses which would happen if this mess was on showtime..

Its called copying story lines. Jean is good at that. Takes credit when things work even though it is so unoriginal and done by other writers. She did it on ATWT.

For the most part, Showtime has as much male nudity as a convent.

Thanks, I just saw an old article about it yesterday, I thought it was supposed to go on the web or something. Not that I would have watched it, it sounded hokey.

Yeah I don't know why KMc and TC had the soap press calling it a pilot because it was just her friends doing a reading of a script she wrote.  Nowhere near pilot stage though in an interview she said she wants to run it into  show on Netflix.  But that's just wishful thinking.

If one is channeling Guza, then how is one's vision new?  Maybe instead of reviving these tired mob stories that brought GH to the brink of cancellation they should come up with their own idea of what GH should be that is new and different?    I will say the show is better, but that is because the worst actor on GH--Roger Howarth--has finally vanished.  He and Michelle Stafford actively make shows worse so of course it is better just by virtue of they not being on it.   That said, Rebecca Budig was sadly on today but she was easily FFed.

If the new GH is just a return to Mob and Sonny and Carly and Jason then GH is doomed.   That direction is tired, and outside of GH is there some major renaissance for mob drama I am missing in the pop culture?  I don't recall anyone saying we need more mob, and yet here it is.
