He's probably not going to acknowledge it and probably just happy his ass wasn't fired along with Carlivati.

If Jean and Shelly don't bring the ratings up, I bet Frank's ass is out next because there will be no one else to share the blame with.

Dare I say it (and I can't believe I am) but I think he'd do well at DAYS. Better than Dena ever has. His whacky storytelling could fit for that show.

DAYS at its core still cares about things like family and heart. Ron does not. He'd mostly just try to redo the Ejami rape, only now in a way that would be more hot and hilarious.

True. But I think with a gig like DAYS, he'd have to tone down his writing seeing as he can't do the extravagant and over the top story he did at GH and OLTL. DAYS doesn't have the budget for it.

*sighs*

I'm on the fence with Ron as I think he can do good things when he is reigned in. For instance, his first year at OLTL.

No comment from Frank yet either on Twitter. Has he made any comments on the HW changes anywhere?

I suspect that there probably is some sort of gag order in place on the subject, especially when controversial personnel changes of this kind are made. I'm sure that Frank himself is under close watch with the ratings dive bombing, so, I'm sure he won't be singing like a canary on any social media outlets for awhile. He will have to play tag with the media and hope that this all blows over.

Shocking since he was on Twitter every 5 seconds posting how great GH was going to be that day or second. Telling his devoted fans not to miss the day's episode.

Im sure there isn't a gag order on Frank. I am surprised he isn't welcoming his new team. I suppose he is relived he wasn't fired yet a bit upset his soft core GH might come to an end…LMAO…LOL

Someone on Twitter linked to an old EW article with Wendy Riche when she took over GH after Gloria Monty's disastrous second run.

Funny thing is, a lot of what she said was wrong with the show back then can be applied to right now and what Carlivati/Valentini have done to it.

Well, in Riche’s professional opinion, the 29-year-old ABC soap she was brought in to heal four months ago had grown thin, wan, and pale. ”The malpractice story (involving Dr. Monica Quartermaine) was the only story that was going,” she diagnoses.” Other than that, there was nothing.”

Riche, a 17-year veteran of TV movies who started up Fox Television’s movie unit, won’t be specific about how GH got so run down. ”I will say that the show needed to be more character-driven rather than plot-driven. It needed to be more relatable in its story pursuit. It needed to balance fantasy and reality better. And it needed more romance.”

LOL While I'm by no means a prude, and I've been known to surf for some "entertainment" on the side, I never really sought soft-core stuff on daytime soaps anyway. Lately, with the pecs on parade on GH, I wondered when the name of the show would be changed from "General Hospital" to "Planet Fitness".

The scenes with Dante and Mr. Wood were horrible this past week. I kept thinking how a vet was not being used while Mr. Wood was apparently reading lines from a paper with a blank look on his face while "acting" opposite another actor.

There are big changes ahead. What do you think of the head-writing change with Shelly Altman and Jean Passananate coming in to take the reins from Ron Carlivati?

JACKIE: It will be interesting now to see what the new writers will do, as these are two wonderful women. Im excited to see what they have in store. It will be interesting to see how having two women write the show now, as opposed to having a man write the show, what kind of shifts there will be in regards to storylines and storytelling. I am one who always thinks youve got to keep it fresh and new. It will be a new adventure

This is from Jackie Zeman at Michael Fairman. I loved how Jackie said wonderful women and talking there fresh perspective to soaps. Love people are getting on the JELLY train.

The last years of innovation, creativity, and support at ABC Daytime. I remember being an avid viewers of all 3 of their soaps then (Loving did not air in my market).

Or is she talking about her face.

That was mean of me.
