No. The killer is blackmailing him b/c he knows Fen tapped into the school's system and changed his grade. He forced Fen to drug everyone else at the cabin, thus allowing the killer to sneak in and kill Austin.

So Fen is basically an accessory to the crime, and Paul's dumb ass didn't even arrest him for it.

Reilly had his many duds but I don't think he'd start a murder mystery off with an affair that occurred offscreen. This whole story is about sh-t that has occurred offscreen.
