Paul and Chris are both annoying me. Chris has a right to want to go after Phyllis. Paul wanting her to let it go is ridiculous.

I liked it that Billy noticed Sage was sad when she was holding the teddy bear.

Does anyone remember why Victor was in the mental ward?

I'm glad Neil is thinking about revenge. Sure, he's going to regret it sooner than later, but I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

Chris is going to lose her baby and blame Phyllis for it. You can tell Chris is obsessed and is going to go after Phyllis at any cost.

Christine is a nutjob and Paul deserves better...I suppose Devon and Hillay will go down with the plan and Neil will forgive them when they are rescued..YUCK!!!

Jessica Collins is a good actress no doubt but as others have stated, Avery is a dud. All her stories over the past few years she been on has been dud after dud after dud. From her affair with Nick, to 'rivalry' with Phyllis, to engagement with Nick, to her relationship with Dylan, to the Austin saga, to now with Joe ... it's all been one major flop. The components are there for it to be a success but her stories remain flopping.

That ties in with the Austin saga, remember. He was using the cooking show to stalk and eventually hold her hostage.

I thought the rumour was Suzanne stayed friends with him after the break up and took his side. I’ve never heard about an affair.

A few months ago, Suzanne was interviewed for about an hour on the Soapy podcast. Although she didn't mention Deidre, she did tell a story about some resentment with other actors. She shared that when she was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis in the mid-1980s, her appearance changed and two or three of the other actors made derogatory remarks about it. Suzanne also admitted she still harbors a grudge about it, and she doubts forgiveness is in the future. Could this be the cause of the current issue between Suzanne and Deidre? I'm sure Suzanne's interview is still available, if anyone is interested in listening.

Yeah, I don't think he would've been as successful at AW as he was elsewhere. For one thing, NBC was gonna NBC, and P&G was gonna P&G. There's no way Douglas Marland would have enjoyed the kind of support there that he had at ATWT or GL. And for another, aside from its' longtime, core audience, I really do believe most of the rest of the industry and viewers had just written off AW, expecting it to be cancelled sooner or later.

Wasn't there also the rumor that Suzanne allegedly had an affair with Deidre's now-ex-husband?
If I were Dee, I wouldn't care one whit about that. As long as he was out of MY house, he could have all the cookies he wants, lol.

Maybe. You aren't the first person to bring up that idea. It seems silly though. I doubt Suzanne had anything to do with Dee/Drake's firing and they were brought back fairly quickly anyway. The show did use Maggie more back then, but even if Deidre was mad about that-get over it! It was a decade ago.

Speculation, but could it have something to do with (or exasperated by) the aftermath of Marlena & John being written out for a few years in the late 2000s? Rogers' screentime shot up in that era and I remember hearing good things about her work. Whereas Maggie barely qualified as a character from when Hall returned in the 90s until then.

I'd say the same about Susan Lucci's issues with SMG. In fact, I'd blame two people for that mess: 1) SMG's mother, who allegedly told anyone and everyone that SMG/Kendall was going to be the next Erica Kane; and 2) Christopher Goutman, who, as one of AMC's directors, allegedly encouraged SMG to say or do something in a scene with Lucci that was unscripted and without Lucci's prior knowledge or approval.
