This!

I feel like the show is becoming a shell of itself. The script writers are saving this show, hands down, but even then there's only so much they can do. It also doesn't help that the show feels like it has about a cast of five people. It feels like it just goes through the motions. I'm so sad at the state the show is in. Almost reminding me of the last years of ATWT.

It just amazes me this is the same show I was practically running home to watch last year :(

This is my first time seeing Melanie. Did this actress play her last go 'round?

I know I miss the show quite a bit, but it seems like Abigail and Ben are in bed every time I watch. I guess the less dialogue they give him the better. His voice and schmacting irk me and those girly eyebrows...

Oh dear, so Sonny and Mr. God's gift to Asian maledom (according to that casting breakdown) have a past?

Why do we have to see it every time Ben and Abby have sex? How many love scenes are they going to get? They're really not that interesting. Melanie walking in on shirtless Ben - who didn't see that coming?

Jen Lilley keeps saying we should feel bad for Theresa if we have any kind of heart and blablabla, but all I see is Theresa desperately trying to jump on Paul's dick. Why in the world would I feel bad for her?

Love that they mentioned T visiting Gabi.

I like that we're actually seeing Clyde and Marlena's therapy sessions.

OMG at the ending with Paul. Yes! I kind of figured he was gay or bi (I think we all did) but I still wasn't that expecting that to happen, especially already. Finally, something interesting with Sonny.

I think the only reason we're seeing Marlena is because they're trying to find things for her to do without actually giving her a story. But as long as she's used effectively, and she is, I appreciate it.

I feel like we all could see Paul/Sonny/Will coming a mile away. Him flirting with all the women was the immediate hinky I needed to know he'd be all over some penis. I'm not complaining actually, I just thought it was obvious.

Whoa. Definitely in for Paul and Sonny.

Unfortunately, I fear that any Paul is bi story would soon end with his permanently going after women & putting his 'gay past' behind him... especially if Paul became popular. They wouldn't be able to resist. I'd love if the show surprised me.

Going back a bit, having Eve falsely accuse JJ of rape is one of the worse, socially irresponsible choices this show could make. We really do not need to perpetuate the idea of women lying about rape, especially in light of current events. I realize DOOL tapes 47 months in advance, but still.

Meanwhile, this show has an extraordinary opportunity to dispel some myths about bisexuality and I hope they handle this story wisely. There are too many people out there who will say that there's no way Paul could be interested in both men and women, that bisexuality is gateway gay or a way to downplay it. They could use this character to school a lot of people.

I 100000% agree about Paul. I'd love to give a what for to whoever thinks bisexuality is a "gateway gay" or a way to downplay it. You CAN be attracted to both sexes. I agree that people need to be schooled. Just not sure this is the show for that but I hope they prove me wrong. I do fear the same thing about Paul though. That this is just how to introduce him and then eventually he'll be paired with just a woman.

And I do not want the ugliness of Eve accusing JJ of raping her. That would be ugly, unnecessary and not very responsible of the show.

    • This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
    • @rsclassicfanforever thank you very much for the recent uploads of season 13 containing some episodes that were skipped or glitchy on YouTube!  I had a look at 3172 though and there is no audio for most of it? Would you have a copy with complete audio? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
