I so agree. I feel that JMW and SK would've lit the screens on fire. I would've loved for Steffy to have used Deacon to try and break up Hope and Liam only to fall for Deacon. It's the kind of story beat that would've rocked the canvas and characters had Brad moved heaven and earth to do so.

not to mention Bill would have been jealous and try to stop them, which would have put a further strain on his marriage to Katie as she realized he still had feelings for Steffy. Now this story would have been a juicy mess with all the players involved.

Yes. I would've loved for Deacon and Bill to fight over Steffy's affection. I swear that Brad Bell dropping the Steffy/Katie/Bill triangle and putting her in Liam and Hope's orbit was the WORSE decision he's made in a long time....

This sounds short term. Is it?

I don't think the Bell soaps will ever really drop him long-term, they enjoy him too much.

I enjoy him too and he was part of the reason why Deacon has lasted so long. That said; he and Thorsten Kaye could both start going to gym regularly and have a more California lifestyle. Especially Kanan's face looks really worn out. It's bold and BEAUTIFUL after all.
