Members dragonflies
Good, some elsewhere think GH gets renewed like other soaps do

Members chicklitsandfantasies
Owning it doesn't mean it can't be renewed. NBC owned Passions but I remember they would do press released about it being renewed for a next season.
Webmaster Errol Posted January 23, 2014 Webmaster Share Posted January 23, 2014 NBC partly owned "Passions." They didn't own it outright as ABC does with "General Hospital." Therefore, while there may be comments from Frank or Ron somewhere or a network exec, ABC won't issue an actual press release like CBS and NBC do when they renew their soaps/daytime shows. Members Vee
So if they've renewed it for a season, does that mean til 2015? Or what? It's good news for them either way.
Members Eric83
Refreshing to keep seeing renewals after like 5 straight years of cancellations.

Members KMan101
That GIF sums up everything about his awful Franco. Congrats to GH ... I guess. Even though ABC can still cut it tomorrow if they want, unless they have suddenly started issuing "official renewals" now. I didn't see the show going anywhere yet anyway, due to the ratings and the critical adoration of that hack.
Members ChitHappens
The ratings are inconsequential. ABC cannot find a suitable low cost replacement. The Revolution tanked and so did Katie. They cannot get rid of GH. I should be ecstatic that GH is staying, but it is such a low rent cartoon right now. That sickens me! Veronica was bragging on Twitter about signing a new contract with ABC. No doubt letting us "haters" know he isn't going anywhere. Not sure who actually thought he was TBH. Gonna watch some AW on YT when I get home to cheer me up. #PETSb4VETS
