Felix annoys the crap out of me as well. As for Brad, I don't think the early writing for him was all that great, but I like him. A lot has to do with the actor, and Brad reminds me a lot of Kyle from OLTL. Both started out as shady as lab techs with not the best writing, then became "reformed" along the way. To me, I like gay characters that aren't "saints". Will and Sonny on DAYS bore me to tears, because DAYS rarely ever writes them as doing anything wrong and seem so "perfect". Gay characters on soaps should cheat, have ONS, lie, etc just like the straight characters do. Ron's writing might not be perfect, but I like that he writes his gay characters with flaws. As of now, I'll take Lucas and Brad on GH over Will and Sonny on DAYS any day.

Other than Brad, when he was written as a heel, I can't say that he does. Felix is just as saintly as anyone at DAYS. So were Kyle and Fish in no time at all.

The only time gay men on his shows are written with flaws is when they exist solely as one-note plot points, like early Brad, or Nick on OLTL.

The episode where FV was the judge wasnt his comment something to the effect of "Me Likey" when he saw Mikey Jerome?

I took the Brad/Lucas stuff surprisingly well

LOVED that Lucy slept with Scott again, had that nice little monologue & Mac showed up and punched Scott.

I saw a hilarious facebook comment where someone said they were upset because they thought yesterday's episode was a rerun because they swore they had already seen those exact same mob scenes on the pier already. These scenes really are the same crap over and over.

I don't think there are good enough writers on any soap nowadays who can ever create a scheming, up to no good, flawed and semi-ruthless characters who is fleshed out well and is able to anyone their perspective

What's so special about the gay characters that they would get better writing than the rest? GH currently have 3 gay characters who share in the schlock. What's the problem?

GH all together, is a complete and utter disaster, I don't think it will ever get better unless this current regime gets a total overhaul or they get replaced by better writers
