December 14, 201312 yr Member Hartley Sawyer is out http://daytimeconfidential.zap2it.com/2013/12/14/hartley-sawyer-out-at-the-young-and-the-restless
December 14, 201312 yr Member Terrific news! That talking surfboard was all wrong for Jack. If they recast, I hope we get someone good. Can we have Blake Hood back now? I hear he was not that much better. They need to find a talented young man for this role! Edited December 14, 201312 yr by ChitHappens
December 14, 201312 yr Member He wasn't any good and Blake Hood was like a creepy lounge lizard. But honestly, that character should never have been aged up so fast. As an adult he's just another character-less hunky cipher. Edited December 14, 201312 yr by Vee
December 14, 201312 yr Member Forget the fact that he has been on Y&R, He and Hartley are same age so I say cast Zack Conroy as the new Kyle Abbott Edited December 14, 201312 yr by John
December 14, 201312 yr Member Zach Conroy is a great alternative. Wasn't he on Y&R recently? Maybe this was to convince TPTB that he could play the role.
December 14, 201312 yr Member Zack Conroy would be great but again, what would the character be? Kyle is nothing but White Swinging Dick #327. That's all he's ever been there to be. There's a gaggle of guys on that show who are practically anonymous in motivation and personality.
December 14, 201312 yr Member I could see @YandR_CBS thinking @Rob_Gorrie, @MrRobertScott or @Zack_Conroy being a good Kyle Abbott recast & those could work well. #YR
December 14, 201312 yr Member I liked Rob Gorrie on OL but my concern is that his Kyle and RA's Noah would be a bit too reminiscent of a male version of the Bobbsey Twins. There's already so much doubling on this show-- you have Courtney and Summer, Chloe and Chelsea. You need someone who provides enough of an obvious contrast with Noah to make the conflict work (sure with great writing none of this should matter but given this show's recent history with writing story, do we really want to take that chance?). Now this rumour makes me wonder about that Abbott cousin casting note that had been floating around for some time. Edited December 14, 201312 yr by DramatistDreamer
December 14, 201312 yr Member I thought he was slightly better, but he still sucked overall. Blake Hood was just as miscast as it gets though. I do like the suggestions in this thread of Zach Conroy or Rob Gorrie. Both would be great and can actually act.

Now this rumour makes me wonder about that Abbott cousin casting note that had been floating around for some time. I thought that Abbott cousin was a ruse for a Billy Abbott recast Maybe if Rob Gorrie's Kyle is written different Edited December 15, 201312 yr by cassadine1991
December 15, 201312 yr Member These revolving doors of Kyle and Noah recasts confuse me. ... speaking of which, wouldn't it be funny if they consider that actor who played Noah briefly between Kevin Schmidt's tenure(s) in the role?! That would be crazy, especially since he has a slight resemblance to Hartley Sawyer-- well, except for that exceptional chin that Sawyer has.
