First Steve and Kayla treated him like he was nothing--and then demanded that he thank them for supposedly saving his life. Then Jennifer treated him like dirt for years. All the other character supported her in doing so. Only Abby was consistently loyal--and when she came of age she dumped on him to. Jack was labeled a serial abandoner, even when it was Jennifer who left him. And behind the scenes Ken Corday fired Ashford on countless occasions. KC reduced his role, and then fired him, when he was the most popular actor on daytime. He fired him when he got nominated for an emmy, and then let go of J&J in favor of the unpopular Dannifer (and Shawn Christian). And whenever Jack is on the show, he is immediately backburnered, sometimes backburnered beyond belief. Fan support plays no role in his airtime, or lack thereof. Billy Warlock's AJ was treated pretty awful, especially when Courtney, his great redeemer, joined the list of AJ haters and fell in love with Jason. Emily once openly said that she cared more for Jason. The most disrespected character in daytime history was Victoria Lane on Santa Barbara. Forget about how badly Mason treated her. The show ended her story by having her leave Chip behind with Cruz and Eden and suddenly declaring Eden to be Chip's mother. It was perfectly fine for Bo, John or any other cop to be completely corrupt if they were going after him. With the exception of Jacara, he was every woman's second choice. Tea, Evangeline, Lindsay all kicked him to the curb. He was beaten down to prop any and every other male character. He lost businesses to the likes of Rex and Antonio including Club Capricorn which was named after Keri's astrological sign. He was said grown daughter only to have her be driven crazy by Antonio Vega's magic dick and sacrificed on the altar of Messica who then nearly killed his granddaughter then when all was said and done he was sent off with a note. Members John Posted September 9, 2013 Members Share Posted September 9, 2013 GH: Rick Webber In 2002 making him a serial cheater who covered the murder of his lover by Laura by drugging her and By the By, Scott Baldswin for allowing Laura who he lied since 1977 , believe she killed Rick which cased her Catonia for 6 years Felecia: JFP and Guza making this character a dead beat mom and rewriting history that made her like this all of Maxie and Georgie's lives. By 2009 though, the writing for Sharon has been hell. Something has been wrong with her for years, it has been acknowledged but she never gets help. Her illness is used as an excuse for her to do more crazy stuff. The sudden blackouts from her past never explored, her kleptomania, 3WTD, baby stolen in a psych ward, marriage to Adam, the NOLA mess, Sharon going back to Adam, Sharon climbing a Volcano in Hawaii, Sharon going on the run, the freaking lamb & Sam, everybody verbally shitting on her, hooking up with Victor, sleeping with dayplayers, being the scapegoat for Nick's 18yr lie, and the only person she can talk to is her daughter's ghost. Her sister Laurie set her sights on him and tormented her by chasing after him. Leslie had a mental breakdown during a piano concert, was mugged and lost her identification and wound up in the nut house as a Jane Doe. She was then tormented by the women in there (the same women years later were in there with Ashley as well). After Leslie recovered and married Brad, Laurie wrote a manuscript about the ordeal. Brad then started going blind and kept it from Leslie. She discovered she was pregnant and Brad being blind accidentaly hit Les with a suitcase which caused her to miscarry. They later Divorced. Laurie's manuscript got published when her mother in law Vanessa got hold of it to try to destroy Laurie's marriage tp her son Lance. and reporters figured out who the woman in the story was and began hounding Les. On the verge of another breakdown, Laurie's husband Lance came to comfort her and they slept together. Leslie became pregnant and Lance's brother Lucas married her to hide the paternity and claimed to be the father. Leslie loved Lance, Lucas loved Laurie but were stuck in a loveless marriage. Leslie then had another breakdown and disappeared and was found by a man named Jonas. Laurie got custody of Leslie's son Brooks Prentiss. It was years before Lance knew he was the father. Members Cyberologist Posted September 13, 2013 Members Share Posted September 13, 2013 The Webbers, GH Disrespected on and off the show the descendent of Steve Hardy founding character (Elizabeth Webber a 17 year vet) has gotten rotten writing thrown under the bus for Frons' love of all things Jason and Sam and is the sole survivor of a core family who got decimated, Rick Webber who was written horridly in the end and Steven Lars carted off to jail, so? He was forever losing to Jeff. Fallon chose Jeff over him. Jason favored Jeff, even though Miles was the son he raised. He was even second fiddle to Jeff at Colby Enterprises, thanks to Aunt Connie. And boy did Connie ever favor him. When Barbara Stanwyck's character is leading the charge to relegate you to a perennial runner-up in your own family, then you know you are disrespected. Yes, she embodied the term "thirsty ho," but everyone treated her like a joke, including Adam, Brooke, Erica, Jack, Leo, Simone, Roger and her own daughter.
