Sonny and Olivia isn't going to amount to much of anything, either. It's a time-waster subplot while RC waits around for Vanessa Marcil. That much is obvious, and it's a horrible waste of Lisa Lo Cicero and indicates Ron's usual casual contempt for the audience's time. Everyone has seen him do these time-waster stories before just to fill space and time for the actors, when he's clearly not truly invested. If I had to bet, I'd lay at least 50/50 odds that Sonny and Olivia won't even end up coupling.

I think he will put them together and we will see them about once a week, with Sonny periodically appearing in his useless son's life. There is no story for Solivia, but we can't have a GH w/out Sonny banging someone. TBPH, I'd love to have Sonny's mob back! Sonny is at his sexiest when he's really in charge.

I think if it happens it'll be very, very brief. At best.

And yes, Ron is no stranger to stalling plotlines all year waiting for a single actor to maybe pick up the phone.

Sonny and the mob have been jokes for years. It was pathetic five years ago, ten years ago, it's even more pathetic now. He hasn't scared anybody since before Bush stole the vote.

The did the exact same for that Clarie guy back in 2010 when Brenda returned. They paired her up with Sonny, but when Brenda came she was gone.

Thank Jesus! They should've never brought this character back unless Megan Ward was playing her. Kelly Sullivan was abysmal IMO.

I determine whether someone was a "pet" based on if they are in the scenes that I chose to watch online (especially if it's clear that they don't belong anywhere near there), since that was a purposeful move that I did to spare myself from the crap that I hadn't wanted to see. I'm not saying that Konnie was a fabulous character (as the only Kate Howard that exists is the one with the fabulous bob that is currently chilling in Milan with Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington), simply that I don't consider her as a airtime-hogging pet because I went weeks without seeing her.

I'm not even going to touch that last sentence because it's better than I remain the dark about that.

They rewrote the character multiple times and kept her at the center of the show for a year or more. No one cared. Something eventually had to give, and they tend to focus more on saving their favorite male actors anyway.

Connie and her lame ass son were definitely pets. FRon tried so hard to force them on me. Thinking about it we finally started getting a break from her after he died.
