Nelson Branco ‏@nelliebranco6h Yep, Michelle Stafford was my blind item(s) in @SoapUncensored. Not surprised... Contract negotiations were NOT going well. #YR

Brooke has been the face of B&B, so I don't know how she is so "recastable".

See here's where "recastable" takes on a whole new meaning because a fetus could out act KKL, but I can only imagine her face playing that trifling ratchet ho! It's not because KKL possesses some special quality that can't be replicated (SuLu), but she IS Brooke!

Everyone, how should Redzilla leave town?

I was thinking someone should run her a** over, put the car in reverse and do it again, thus killing her. I'm all for Daisy coming back that one episode and doing the job but I'd prefer if Drucilla did it.

I'm also for Drucilla, dressed up in a cloak, tossing Phyllis over the same cliff pushed Dru over.

With Phyllis gone, who is the character you love to hate on Y&R? It isn't Jill - esp now without Kay. We're left with a bunch of milquetoast characters. At least with Phyllis, at any point, in any storyline, something drama/wacky/scandalous could happen and it was never out of character. Of course, Y&R is going to "pretend" that Phyllis is still around GC even though she won't be seen.

ITA about Jack and the rest of the Abbott clan. Once they killed John, the heart of the family disappeared. Jack should have taken over the "role" as the patriarch of the family - but that just wasn't believable - especially with ghost John lingering.

Arguably, those same hijinks are what turned many off the character.

The Phyllis of 2000-2005 was a lot more grounded, despite the constant chaos, than the Phyllis from 2005 onward. Somewhere along the line, this character became a farce that was allowed to eat away at the show and be part of almost every storyline (certainly at points during MAB's reign). That's never a good thing.

i don't think her post was about recasting Brookd but recasting Phyllis. Someone who can play Brookecan play Phyllis, like someone who can play Carly can also play Phyllis. The role of Phyllis isn't particularly unique and specific to MS

The show does look great though!
    • Well, she just said "ladies" on the show but she didn't specify they were fellow actresses. It could have been some of the women behind the scenes of the show. There was a lot in the interview that wasn't clear to me.
    • Now would’ve been a great time to get the next A plot going, versus Bill and Katie and Steffy and Liam rehashing the same BS about Luna we have been hearing for weeks.
    • I feel it could benefit from a focus on one of their three A stories or a solid B plot. But right before the turnover from Guza to Thomson, outside of all things Dani...there's nothing too A story-ish going on. Still entertaining for me, but it's noticeable that there is not a main story with other B/C stories going on. It's just...a bunch of stories going on.    I do hope the build to Winterfest and us actually seeing it THIS month will get things moving again.    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
