The Young and The Restless Shocker: - Actress Leaving

I thought the same, but it is very likely that she was pushed out. She is an older woman who makes a very high salary. Neither Sony and JFP are going to fight too hard to hold onto her.

That's true.

I'm not much of a JFP fan (although I probably by default like her more than almost anyone here but Y&RWT and a few others), but she's not afraid to make some controversial decisions, and this was a big one. If they fired her they made the right decision, IMO.

CarlD2, I respect you and your opinions very highly but NO to this! tongue.png I want my SHICK back. The rest of them you mentioned can go too and take Michael, Victor, & Nikki with them. happy.png

Nikki is Y&R to me, but I wouldn't mind losing some of the others you mentioned.

Sharon - eh. Can't get past the last four years. Was a big fan earlier on when they knew who the character was. But I don't think she's going anywhere so that's moot.

Looks like she could handle not being in everyone's story 9 days a week!

Bye Syphillis!

Sharon should have exited with the Sam character back in November 2011 and been done for few years. That way none of the further madness would have continued on like it has with the character.

I guess reading from other responses I'm in the minority when it comes to Avery. Sure Dylan, Chelsea, Avery aren't exactly hot but at least I found it a breath of fresh air compared to Phyllis, Nick, Sharon, and Adam. Oh well.

Chelsea, Avery, and Dylan can all disappear for all I care. They add nothing to the show, imo.

I wish that they would send Phyllis to prison. It would be a fitting end for the character. Death would also work. Otherwise, it is hard to come up a good reason for Phyllis to leave GC and Summer.

There was a point and time when she was good and an asset to the show.

That hasn't been the case for a good 7 years or so though. So, good riddance. This character is played out and needs a rest.

Which makes her the Steve Burton of Y&R. LOL!

Stafford was great as Phyllis during her 1994-97 run and of course during the first five years of her return. So what happened? Maybe it was the Emmy win, maybe it was the cult of personalty surrounding her, maybe it was the horrid writing--I became less in interested in Phyllis, once the show's leading vixen and anti-heroine become the star of Y&R while Stafford chewed the scenery and shouted all the time on her diva trips. Occasionally she'd rise to the occasion but the Phyllis under LML and MAB was definitely not the Phyllis I had invested in there back in 2002 as I rooted for her during the pool house fire caper and patiently waited for her to turn the tables on Diane, Danny, and Gina someday as occurred there 2003/2004.

Sure, I miss the Phyllis we had 2000-2005. But those days are over, and Phyllis being written out is long overdue.

It would be great if her exit is Phyllis being arrested for her crimes and Christine lauging in her face.

Exactly what I wanted to post. :)

Phyllis is beyond played out. I never enjoyed MS's brand of acting. So I won't miss her.
