Prospect Park Sues ABC Over ‘One Life To Live’ & ‘All My Children’ Licensing Agreement

I don't agree. I think this slight embarrassment with the 3 characters who ate up way too much airtime only to never have existed is far better than the headache of sharing the 3 in the long run. Besides, the schlock that FRon put out everday? At least there was a reason for this particular swill! ABC/GH made a good decision, THIS TIME.

Oh, I think they quite disagree. I think they would take those three characters back in under a heartbeat if they only could. Their problem was they were no longer able to be the sole arbiter of their stories and futures, and that was not something they were willing to accept.

The irony is it looks like they never actually had those rights to begin with.

They had Starr, John, Cole, Hope, Blair, Todd & Tea in a limited capacity for one year. Thats why with Tomas they fucked up and then there is this from July 2012

http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/2012/07/27/deep-soap-why-one-oltl-star-wont-be-coming-to-gh-and-other-tca-bombshells/

There also finally will be a resolution to the cliffhanger from the final episode of “One Life to Live” in which viewers learned that the presumed dead Victor (Trevor St. John), was very much alive. “Yes [Todd will learn he did not kill Victor]. Absolutely. See, we have all these great surprises that can be played out. So the future is very bright. We’re really excited about it.”

They were gonna reveal Victor alive and they never rights to that role. SMH

Also dont get why FV didnt understand this:

All I’ll say is Melissa Archer is a very close friend of mine and I adore her.”

Given that Easton, and two other OLTL alums who have appeared on GH — Kassie DePaiva (Blair) and Florencia Lozano — had also signed on with Prospect Park, it’s unclear why Archer has contractual stipulations that the others do not, or why Prospect Park would consider enforcing its contract when the online version of OLTL will clearly never happen. So when will Archer be available? “I don’t know. I wish I did because I could say. I’m not afraid to say it. I just don’t want to speak out of turn and say the wrong thing.”

Probably because Natalie was never LOANED to you, Frank you arogant [!@#$%^&*]

Yeah, they wanted them back but eventually realized that surrendering that kind of control was a bad idea. Hate to say it, but I agree. FRon are just arrogant enough to think they have the last laugh (they probably do). All 3 have been filming and 2 of them will begin with quite a bit of airtime as one (you know who) has filmed with at least 7 different people already. Expect to see him for at least a solid week 1/2 or 2 when he returns.

. It sounds like a headache especially with unplanned preemptions. Is ABC supposed to be bound by contract and do massive last minute cuts and changes when that arises? That stipulation has too much potential to make a mess out if things. PP would likely hold that in their back pocket and sue later on bc the characters aired concurrently on same days

LOL I remember when people tried to say it wasn't PP that was keeping Kassie from being on GH full time like she pushed for. People were trying to blame Frank and Ron and say it was cause Ron wanted Tarly so they didn't want Blair around full time.

now we know better ;)
