I finally caught up.

I can't stand that bitch nurse. She's awful!

I can't stand Hanna's self righteous ass.

Amanda's antics are too over the top.

I expected Candace to wear a much better outfit then the ghetto bird's uniform to the club.

Someone suggested this show needs a romance. I can't even imagine them handling that well.

"I will meet his soul at the gates of heaven". "I don't have to do anything but stay black and die". God, I hate her dialogue

This episode was all about the black characters and that's how it should be. They are so much more interesting. What a drastic contrast from daytime's portrayal.

Amanda...its time for this quack a doodle to kill herself already. I for one would NOT miss her.

Told ya'll Candace was gonna try and represent Hannah over Benny's case. Bitch, couldn't even work up a thank you

Jeffrey's guy is kinda fine. Anyone know the actor's name?

I know I shouldn't like Veronica's evil ass, but I LOVE her. That ending was such a bitch move.

I love Veronica, but I think Toilet Paper is going too far with the character. She will blackmail her son into being straight? He will go to prison if he doesn't stay away from boys? Heffa, do you know how much boy on boy action he's gonna get in the slammer? This makes no sense and reeks of TP being an incompetent boob!

No one is this bad ass!

Candace pretty much has two hits out on her.

Veronica has gone completely crazy, all that royalty talk was insane. Jeffrey was looking at her like she was nuts.

Looks like next week, Kathryn will have Benny moved, but Hanna will get arrested for it, because it looks like she moved him to usurp the judge's order.

I was randomly flipping thru channels and I stumbled across OWN and saw Tyler Perry sitting on a dias....does he have his own show on Oprah's network?

Anyways a scene from this show was playing. This white doctor was telling the mother of the son in a coma or whatever that she should think about donating his organs and she's completely nuts and goes on about the Blood of Jesus and the Blood of Christ and how her son will live again.

That was the single most embarrassing piece of acting I've ever seen in my life. I was literally just dying of laughter at how corny, cheap, and pathetic it felt. Who tells these people that this is good television? It was so stereotypical over the top screaming and hollering. The lady was unable to see the truth. The worst part was the smug look on Tyler Perry's face when the clip was over as if he had produced some grand masterpiece! Then the actress was brought on stage and they talked I guess. I immediately changed the channel rather than subject myself to that clownery. If episode is like that I imagine its very hard to watch this show continually.

    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
    • Lol. But Jeffrey was weak to mama. Leslie can go dead because anger is a great motivator via Martin defending HIS mama and just not taking ish altogether. This ain't how it should be. They need not run the show like this. It's too noticeable.
    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
