The Online Network announced in a release that starting on Monday June 24 there will no longer be swearing on "AMC" or "OLTL."

My thought: Thanx for censoring my soaps. I loved it as it was. Sorry U cant handle a [!@#$%^&*], bull [!@#$%^&*] or !@#$%^&*] being said but you dont speak for all of us.

So much for the heavy promotional work in the lead up to the premiere talking "edgy" and "innovative" and now it is just whatever the networks do in terms of Standards and Practices, censorship, and nice legal teams to keep shows in line. I have no problem with cursing because I curse and the nudity is authentic and scene specific for the storyline purposes as long as the actors are comfortable with whatever skin they want to expose themselves to and their scene partner is cool with it.

Pretty soon the editors will give us a generic plain and bland show without the energy.

When PP finally caves in and brings back wastes of space and money like Caleb and Asher, and has re-constructed the Confusion set, and seemingly done everything else so that the show is exactly like it was on ABC, then the complaints will be "Where's Mookie?"....well more likely "Ware Mookeey. I not seee him on the HULA"

I hope you're right. (I never thought I'd type those words to you, LOL!) But this leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. These people have held the genre in such a death grip and I was so happy to be free of their puritanical, backward asses. Honestly this news bothers me more than all the BTS garbage from the last few weeks because it's empowering the wrong people all over again.

I think it's a complaint that I heard from more than just the FB crowd, but I do hate to see them validated in any way.

Realistically it would've had to happen if the shows got most cable distribution as well. I just hope they continue to be committed to pushing the envelope overall.

So much love for you for making me laugh with that. I had forgotten that gem of a name.

I read the following gem on FB or Itunes comments (can't remember which the other day). "The only charcter I miss is TED. Don't want no KINDLE back- always h8ed her & she make trobul for ERKA. Hate the cusses and nudity."

Please, I've already had to read enough ponderous odes to the magic of David Kreizman's boring-ass AMC lately. The man was a very marginal talent who fell apart in under a year and presided over the slow death of three soap operas.
