One thing that I like about the early comments is that people seem genuinely pleased with the content of the shows. Of course one episode isn't enough to know everything, but everything seems to be turning out better than we expected (casting, production values, now hopefully writing) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I wasn't a fan of Marlene McPherson's overall job on DAYS, but I'm willing to see how this plays out. She had some good ideas, but the execution and pacing was horrendous. Hopefully the other writers can balance that part out.

I never understood why these two (Zach and David, not TK and VI) weren't better friends. I know when we last left them, they had a respect for each other but I really never got why they weren't closer. They're both dark, tortured men with parents who were horrible. They both have no problem crossing moral lines for what they feel is for the greater good.

Chatting with All My Children's Thorsten Kaye -- who was in such a great mood. I asked him how he was feeling, and he told me that it was about "these guys" (as he pointed out his co-stars) and not him. Class guy.
