Again, I rarely saw Mac/Felicia fans. I liked them well enough but I knew I was in the minority when I went online.

Twitter has shown just how nasty fans are...when you have a fan of one character retweeting the actress of the other character something that the actress said making the two actresses argue via twitter....just ridiculous...and this was a few months ago. LOL.

What stan war (and which actresses were involved in this) was this?

If I ever got to see a flashback fan reaction to any ATWT triangle it would be Jennifer/Bob/Kim. That outraged and likely divided viewers, and went against everything ATWT had stood for. The reactions must have been fascinating.

Same thing goes for Rachel/Steve/Alice. Could you imagine a triangle like that today? There would be blood in the streets.

That was KKL and Hunter Tylo, I think.

Yep...KKL and HT...right when it was announced that RM was leaving.

An old school one that would have been interesting:

The Luke/Laura/Scott/Bobbie quad. I mean, DUH.

Or Cord/Tina/Max/Gabrielle, for that matter. Like I said, Max proved popular enough with enough women that fan wars would've been a lock no matter what.

Writers have post the art of fair story telling. Now they must tell us all who to root for with the writing. Oddly. this has the opposite effect that intentioned...usually end up with many unhappy fans.

You're absolutely right and I'm pretty sure that subsequent stans would've never reached the lows that they did and still do if writers (and EPs) actually bothered to follow that golden rule.

How could I forget this one?

SJB Carly fans vs. TB Carly fans vs. LW Carly fans (JB Carly fans are a non factor here).

JJ Lucky vs. GV Lucky fans (again, JY Lucky fans? Non factor.).

Back in the day, AE Tina fans vs. KW Tina fans or Mia Blair fans vs. Kassie Blair fans would have been interesting.

Sometimes I think this stuff started from soaps and spread to all other areas of TV and other times I think it's been there all along but the Internet has made it explode.

Although I started this thread as a soap-specific one, I fully believe that this madness has been around since the dawn of pictures.

The ass cake is no fable.

They had no fans.

I would have been fascinated to have seen the Viki/Joe fans reacting to Clint. There were always very vocal fans who felt that Clint was redneck trash not good enough for Viki compared to Joe or cultured Sloan (who reminded her of the father who had raped her for years, but...OK...)

They had one fan- my stepmother.

I don't think we saw too much fighting between fans of each Carly. They were all very different versions of the character.

Paul/Meg v. Paul/Ro v. Paul/Emily

More like, Lose v. Lose v. Lose.

What did they say?
