Sami was on fire today, though I wish she'd slapped the [!@#$%^&*] out of Gabi. I want to feel bad for her, but she's been acting dumb as a box of rocks and rather pathetically scheming too. Running off crying? Sami would have found some way to turn the tables on Chad during the reveal, I loved the old school scheming of playing it out for a week. This was a good episode, but it all happened SO fast.

Billie's comment to Kate was awesome, as were Victor's one-liners about Sami forgetting the inconvenient truth that she told her own lie (though she didn't forget) and refer to Julie as the "distant in-law in cheap cruise wear." What I'm most excited about is how much story can spin from this, hopefully. Chad vs. Nick. Nick wanting the baby. Will and his clan versus Nick/Gabi. Using Will taking Gabi to the abortion clinic as ammo. If this engine keeps running, along with Kristen and Kate vs. Chloe we could be in for some actual, dare I say it, good episodes.

Yeah. In my ideal Days world, Marie SHOULD be the matriarch (she could have easily been weaved back in when Nick arrived the first time, or after Alice's passing). She is probably the most perfect choice, IMHO. Mickey/Maggie should have been, but were treated as extras for so long and Bill and Laura would be an interesting idea but they really were never a stable couple so I couldn't see them in that role, even though both should have never really been off the canvas. I think Doug and Julie could work, adventurous or not.

I thought the show was good as well. Melissa Salmons did a great job writing the episode. It was very well written. I didn't feel at all sorry for Gabi's sorry ass. I am glad Sami laid the law on her...lol. Rafe...ughhhhhh....his sister is a witch and he babies her. Can't they write strong gay characters?? Will is such a wimp and Sonny isn't any better. Sonny should have either hit Will or should have chewed his ass off for lying to him. I did love his scenes with Victor. Nick...can he die already?? I hate hate this character...he was eavesdropping on Will and Lucas

. Nick is such an ahole ...can we have a murder mystery with him the victim?? The love Nick professed with Gabi...ewwww..they have nothing....and I loved the line with Billie about ummm..since Lucas is going to be a grandfather...you are going to be.......Katie: Don't say it!.....LOL

ITA! I'm going to miss Lisa too. It's a shame that the writers ignore the Roberts. Kate, Billie, Lucas & Will have a great family dynamic.

YES Finally the Sami that made me a DAYS viewer showed up again...It's funny, Sami vs. Gabi felt like old school Kate vs. Sami.

And the Roberts/Reed clan is still perfect and underused.

They really are. I also like Kate's affection for Sonny and the relationship they seem to have. I want to see more of all of them interacting. Kate, Lucas, Billie are all vastly underused. I also can't believe just how much I've loved Lisa Rinna as Billie this go around. I remember just not loving her in her 2002 return and being overall disappointed but this time she's just lit up the screen every time she's on.

I dont know if we are suppose to feel sorry for Gabi but I for one want more pain for her. Especially after reading future spoilers....

Reminds me of Friday's episode when Kate said soon it will be you and Will getting married and I forgot who said..not sure if it was Lucas..and I can be the bridesmaid...LOL

So weird watching a DAYS episode where things actually happened. Pretty enjoyable from start to finish. Loved seeing old school Sami not being Rafe's little bitch too.

I thought it was funny that Doug was excited to see that the wedding was in ruins.

Extra points to the show for having Rafe tackle Chad instead of giving one of those fake punches I can't stand.

Actually I really enjoyed Hope in this episode. There's something very...odd about KA as an actress that sometimes draws me in. It's nice to see that cold bitch vibe used effectively in scenes.

I feel like I should speak up for Gabi. From what I know, I don't think she did anything that bad. Will didn't have to agree to keep it a secret. Will also should never have slept with her in August when they were both in a bad place emotionally. They all three really did have the best interest of the baby in mind when they came up with this plan. Even Nick, while homophobic, has some good intentions. A custody battle that is probably coming will be destructive, as Will knows from having lived it growing up. The best thing would be, I think, for Nick and Gabi to have custody and for Nick to adopt the kid but Will to have visitation rights whenever he wants. That's what they should have agreed to from the beginning. Of course this is a soap so it's not going to be that easy, and the dilemmas and twists are what make for compelling drama. But I hope Will and Gabi will still try to maintain that good relationship they were saying they wanted to have no matter what, not to repeat what Sami and Lucas did. And I hope custody doesn't become something that is still an issue a year, 2 years, down the line.

As a new viewer, I feel like they do portray Maggie as an elder matriarch type. She felt responsible today for not trying to steer Nick more in the past few months.

I feel like all the younger actors are good.

I did understand Abigail's reaction to Chad, because she invited him to the wedding. It reflects on her what he did, and I don't think she was overreacting at all. She has a right to feel used. I am glad Chad felt guilty when he found out Will was the father. I liked how Chad was both kind of proud and kind of guilty when someone told him Stefano would have been proud of him today and he was his father's son.

I love that Will was trying to find Sonny. I liked the scene between Sonny and Victor, I LOL'ed when Victor said in terms of wedding disasters this was a 7, because no one got shot. I liked how Victor was saying Will and Gabi were both sort of doing something Sami had done. I also liked when Sonny said it was too late, he had already fallen in love with Will and Will had moved in.

I'm sure with the amount of time that has been invested in Will and Sonny that Sonny will forgive Will eventually. But it will be interesting to see, if Will decides he does want custody, whether Sonny would be on board with that too. Last week Sonny said "not every guy" wants a beautiful wife and kids to Nick, and who is to say whether that was about the beautiful girl part or the kids part? I think it would be good, character-based drama to see Will and Sonny having different views on kids and seeing how they handled this while still being respectful of each other. Of course the show may just have Sonny fall right into line and "take sides" with Will for custody, but I think it will be more layered, compelling storytelling if the lines are more murky than that and Will is always reachable by Gabi, Gabi always reachable by Will, Sonny not sure he really wants the responsibilty, etc., while the "adults" and maybe Nick are the ones who keep pushing for conflict

This is just day 1 of the fallout and reaction. They're probably still going to be dragging it out over a week. Love it!

Melissa Salmons was trained on Procter and Gamble soaps. That's where she spent most of her writing career. She didn't go to OLTL until comparatively later. PGP still making an impact! But it wasn't just the scripting for one episode, this story has been builidng well for some time and the payoff will continue.
