HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Members

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Counting down the second till Mathison signs on...

I am suprised his thirsty ass wasn't first, and I am sure he is willing to write for the show too if they can't get anyone.

He really was my bet for the first AMCer to sign on.

Maybe he's too busy doing hosting stuff. Fingers crossed!

Unless Bree Williamson has got something big going on after Haven, isn't there a chance of her being interested in reprising Jessica? I ask because on the last episode, her character was revealed to be a shapechanging multiple murderer (meaning her original character was killed and skinned and this one's a skinwalker who took her place)....I think her days are numbered on that show.

The Irizarry signing was a nice surprise. It actually gives me hope for some reason. If this thing gets off the ground, I hope David is in his kid's life.

I think TK just might sign too, given that they'll practically be filming in his back yard(he lives in CT). Lish too, given she's in NY now

David Canary lives in CT. Dare I hope for the occasional guest appearance if this thing is for real?

She would be a fool to go back to OLTL and IIRC she wasn't interested the first time. Even if her role on Haven is ending, she has a recurring role on NBC's Deception and having two roles in one season means she'll for sure be in demand for the following pilot season. It's only a matter of time before she gets a regular role.

Mathison will never be too busy. He's always up for anything. He's basically the William Shatner of soaps and I kind of like that about him. I hated Ryan Lavery so much it raised my blood pressure but I'm willing to allow for the possiblility that away from the obsessive talons of Brian Frons' mancrush the role of Ryan Lavery could be kept in perspective. Plus CM is such a good cheerleader, he would be a good ambassador for the project.

Someone once said Cam is the kind of guy who'd go to the opening of an envelope, he's an attention whore

Is he still recurring on Smash this season? I thought AM was living in LA, giving Hollywood a try? I know her husband still has his business in NY.

Regarding Mathison, I know he's in LA, so maybe the commute to CT wouldn't be worth it for him.

I don't think of him as an attention whore. He's just someone who makes the most of what he's got. He doesn't take himself too seriously and he really seems to have no ego. He strikes me as a party boy who's in on the joke and is willing to ride the train as far as it will take him.

I don't think TK is on Smash this season. It looks like he was a casualty of the new showrunner but I'm sure he could always return.

David Canary (Adam/Stuart), Julia Barr (Brooke) & Ray MacDonnell (Joe) are all less than an hour away from Stamford, CT, the rumored filming location.
