HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

Well, if this is true, I got the Stamford, CT part right. tongue.png There are a couple of studios out there where shows like Maury, Jerry, Steve, The Big C, Are We There Yet?, and others shoot.

4 30min.ep/wk is a step in the right direction.

I've got my grain of salt firmly pressed between my thumb and forefinger, but I'm not going to say that I hope this ISN'T true. More jobs for actors and crew in the tristate area!

How good was Burke?

Ummm.... well.... she was less bad than Carruthers lol. Except for casting. The casting was horrendous under Burke. Zen Gesner (Braden), Paige Rowland (Kit), Carolyn Neff (Raquel #1... my pick for worst actress ever on AMC), Sara Hugh (Tina), Forbes March (Scott), the guy who played Dogboy...

I doubt NB's referring to Burke though. In fact I'm inclined to believe he pulled all or most of this stuff out of an orifice.

LOL, Eric Dearborn. He's Sue Simmons' nephew, I used to always see him in Kohl's ads.

Did somebody say Sue Simmons?

Would love nothing more than to have OLTL be back but I am not really going to buy anything from Nelson Branco. He is a proven liar and sh-t stirrer. If he's telling the truth then we will find out soon enough.

laugh.png that's hilarious!

YES thank you. Eric Dearborn. Says a lot about the character of Gabriel that I (frequently told by my family/friends that my degree of memory for AMC facts is truly disturbing) couldn't remember his name.

That was such a bizarre and quickly dropped story. He is in fact Anna's biracial little brother and Robin's uncle, so FV/RC could always bring him back. :P

LOL. Remember when he was hanging with Bianca, and Erica had Coral pack them a lunch...and he freaked because he thought the cookies (or something) were dog treats?

I remember really cringing at that.

Oof! That's awful.

I'll play along with Nelson for a moment as I have nothing better to do. The two people I can think of are former producer Ginger Smith and former director Conal O'Brien, who were with the show from approx 1988 until the move. 22 years. People like Behr, Francesca James and Jean Burke, who were in and out in numerous roles over the years, are harder to calculate. I think, of Behr/James/Burke, that Burke might be the closest to 22 though?

It's probably one of those, but were there any writers who even came close to that tenure? The only two I can think of are Lorraine Broderick and Jeff Beldner, but I doubt either would even consider an offer to EP.

Howarth, Alderson, & Easton have the same contracts at GH that they had over at OLTL. As much as I'd support Alderson & Easton exiting GH, I doubt they'd leave those contracts for whatever PP would offer them.

This article makes it sound like they don't have a choice or something, due to PP being able to pull the rights on their characters...? Say what?

I am still wondering how accurate Nelson is besides this. Never read soap's uncensored and never payed attention to him before.

It was lame as hell...and the guy I was watching with nearly passed out from laughing so hard.

That was a really weird time. We also had that Rosa Santos who looked 45 but was playing a teen and those trio of "Mean Girls" that tormented Bianca. What were their names, again?

Who could the EP for AMC be? They said the EP they were looking at was with the show for 22 years. Could that be Felicia? I know she was with the show in the 70s.

What about Barbara Simmons? I know she was with the show for several years as an editor/director.

ITA that Burke had the worst casting and at the time, I thought she was a weak producer, but she wasn't as bad as Carruthers.

It's probably one of those, but were there any writers who even came close to that tenure? The only two I can think of are Lorraine Broderick and Jeff Beldner, but I doubt either would even consider an offer to EP.

It seemed like Karen Lewis was on the writing staff for a long time, but I'm not sure how long exactly.
