Bradley is kidding himself if he thinks that his "new generation" of the younger cast is on par to what AMC or even OLTL did with their younger cast ( From the looks of that not necessarily strong story telling, but at least attempted, and made everyone aware that there was a younger cast)

It's just ridiculous that the son of Bill Bell does not get that there is plenty of muti-telling stories you can come up with for the kids of the B&B.

I didn't really watch a lot of OLTL towards the end, but from what I did see of the younger cast seemed more interesting than what B&B is doing with the triangle from hell, I know people hated the Ford Brothers (and I wasn't talking about that) but the bullying story seemed like a good attempt at a social issue, even though the acting wasn't on par as it could have been.

I'm here! I'm here! And I've long thought Margo Lynley is the ONLY character that could ever rival Stephanie, that's certainly how Bill Bell wrote her. With Bill Spencer Jr and Liam so prominent on the canvas, a return from Margo would be natural.

Lauren DOES need to stay on DAYS...she is the absolute best part of the show and often the sole reason I tune in...until it's cancelled...

B&B has shifted its generation, but Koslow has the advantage of being far younger than Flannery and McCook, but more mature than Katherine Kelly Lang, who would be a natural screen partner for her.

Brad SHOULD go after Lauren Koslow. Her limited 'flashback' return in 2002 was interesting because the character still had relevance to the canvas...the actress and character will have even more relevance with Flannery's departure.

I think Erika Slezak in a darker role could be interesting. That's been something I've thought about for something else for a long time. But I don't know if she'd be too into a regular LA commute, although Erika recently made it very clear she would go where work was.

If Y&R keeps [!@#$%^&*] up, Brad could always do the unthinkable: Import Jess Walton.

From being very much on the outside, B&B's central youth triangle looks very strong to me, writing aside. I like the two girls from what I've seen, and Scott Clifton is handling a lot the way I knew he could at OLTL had that strange strain of Fronsian moralism not engulfed the show. But I'm well aware that beyond those couple kids they ain't got much going. Sometimes a simple story, like that triangle, can do a lot.

    • I do actually. Nicole seems like the forgiving type; plus she is a Psychiatrist.  Absolutely agree.
    • Dana has proven to be beyond unhinged from day one.
    • I'm just guessing, but Eva has to be Nicole's daughter. I don't see Nicole forgiving Eva for her betrayal. Unless she winds up being her daughter.
    • I did not recall how contentious the interview turned out to be until I re-read it.  In retrospect, good on both of them for allowing it to be published, it is remarkable to read this type of honesty in a soap magazine. http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • Today's show was boring, which means it will score high in the ratings.

    • Correct. And she left Eva alone and vulnerable just like she was 20 plus years ago.
    • Leslie feels betrayed by Eva for choosing Ted and Nicole, with her actions at the party calling her crazy and trying to stop Leslie from exposing Ted.
    • I kinda think that's the point, Leslie isn't logical; she is very unhinged. She's probably mad at Eva turning on her in front of the Duprees. They need each other but I do want to see Eva form a family unit away from Leslie.
    • IDA. I felt this was his best episode and the actor sold it for me especially bc Martin has been so stoic and not very expressive with his emotions. The actor's weakness actually became a strength here bc I felt he really came alive and I bought his rage towards Leslie and later and later vulnerability he exposed to Smitty. He's growing and while I had reservations at first, I think they should keep him. He's done well with this reveal
    • The soapy convention that amused me today was the amount of stuff that soap characters get done on their way to work. I drink a glass of iced coffee, take a handful of pills, read @AbcNbc247 morning summary, and I am out the door.  Marlena got on a full beat of makeup, and her Monday blazer.  Then she visited with Johnny at the Salem Inn, EJ at the mansion, and checked in with Cat, all before reading her emails.  It is just remarkable how much people can do when they never have to go to the bathroom! Marlena's vibe with Cat was weird, considering she hired Cat as an assistant.  She seemed a little suss today. Meanwhile, with all of these new interactions, I want a scene between Chad and Marlena when they discuss blazers.  I think Chad's more unconstructed, knit jackets would suit Marlena (no pun intended).
