GH: Keesha return?

Yep. I clearly recalled Jasus treating her like the gum underneath his shoe after his accident and her moving on to AJ. If they decided to bring back Keesha, I'd much rather see her reconnect with a back-from-the-dead AJ. At least she wouldn't be forced to kiss mob ass like most of the women on this sorry show.

As for VR, I was rooting for her to come in to play Maya's mother (back when I thought that this show was serious about reviving the Ward family) until I realized that ABC wouldn't want to come near her with a ten foot pole after she put CBS on blast. Much as I love my Vicky, I'd be more likely to see pigs fly than her joining GH.

I was just joking about Maya, but Keesha, I don't see the problem. Jason is around a very limited set of characters. Burton looks old now and I don't think VR would be glaring in her age.

I know she's probably not going to be joining up anyway. I imagine it will be a bit player and then they will cast her son with someone like Baz.

If you want someone who can act, then why bother mentioning REG? laugh.pngbiggrin.pngwink.png

Amen. And I wub.png that you worked Scottie Pippen into this conversation. I LOVE it when she/he is mentioned! It makes me biggrin.png .

Or maybe they meant the man who was playing "father" to her child has died, so she now wants the baby's real daddy involved in their life. David Wallace was so cute back in the day. I wonder what he looks like now?

And Matt Ashford would be an interesting choice, considering he was paired with KW's Felicia once upon a time. God, I miss the days of Shelley Curtis, when half the cast of late 80s DAYS joined GH. Sure, it was mainly because I HATED Steve & Kayla, but I actually LOVED Mary Beth Evans as Katherine Bell. She was such a great bitch and it was the first time MBE proved to me that she had some chops.

That's exactly who I was gonna suggest. Though she may read a little young, I think she'd be GREAT as Keesha, voice and all. I was also going to mention the actress who plays Miranda on "House of Payne" until I realized that was her too! laugh.png

Ewww, oh come on Neil, how often do you watch Y&R? Julia Pace Mitchell has good screen presence, but a good actress she is not. And believe me, this is coming from someone who rooted for her and wanted badly for her to be a good actress or at least blossom into one. Unfortunately, she just isn't and she hasn't.

I like how you think- GREAT idea. It ties in with DWTS, which ABCD loves already- only this time it would be in reverse. I think he'd work well in the part.

Yup they did. But I couldn't help but eat her up with a spoon. And I LOVED when the show paired her with Nicholas. It was too bad they ended up having to recast with Colton Scott shortly after it started because MBE had TONS of chemistry with Tyler Christopher. It just wasn't the same with Colton (maybe bc he was more into Jacob Young  )

Looking back I'm not quite sure why she was so hated...I think a lot of it had to do with her pretending to be Dominique's sister and never seriously paying for that con.

The only real complaint I had was ending Stefan/Bobbie. I never saw the appeal of Stefan and "Lasha."

He's married to Lisa Trussel. I believe she mentioned he had a successful business outside of acting when they interviewed her when "Days of our Lives" killed off Mickey in January 2010. I think the couple lives somewhere in the Midwest now.

Yeah, they crapped on her but it pains me to say she's no different than any other actor the network crapped on and they returned. In same cases numerous times *here's looking at you Matthew Ashford*. A paycheck is a paycheck. If the rumors are true I hope they ask her.

    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
    • I almost posted this because that was my initial reaction too:  this is weird/cringe, to sing around a piano after such a huge family shattering bomb was dropped.  But I got over that and just enjoyed her voice, the song and the montage we saw as everyone's emotions in the aftermath were pouring out.
    • The Equalizer original series was not a big hit yet it became a movie franchise and got a reboot series. The Equalizer reboot lasted 5 seasons, so one season longer than the original series.

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content (e.g. their April Fools' Joke videos were clearly not filmed on 4/1/25), so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
    • Yeah, I thought it would be more explosive or heated and it was kind of standard.  Both can do more with the material.  I just don't think the writing was there.
