DAYS: Actress Quits

I'll miss RJ/Lexie terribly :( This could be an ideal time to age Theo a bit and do a little more with his autism story but I'm sure they won't even bother.

It's time to age Ciara/Theo/Allie/Johnny to teenagers. Let's have one more teen scene before it goes off maybe even another Last Blast dance

Mixed emotions over this news. Sad that Lexie is leaving the canvas and that Renee Jones never got to reclaim the glory she had when Lexie went bad to the bone.

At the same time, delighted for Renee Jones that she got to leave on her own terms and that she's looking forward to her new life and that she has the money to do it. Honestly, I so appreciate it when an actor says that they saved their money and can go forward without worry, it takes discipline to do that and I applaud her.

She has given many of us a lot of joy, so I wish Renee only the best because she's a class act and a hell of an actress. I only hope her next act is a great one!

Co-sign. I will miss Lexie terribly -- she was a shining star on the show despite writers' best efforts to forget she even existed -- and I'm sure Joe Mascolo, James Reynolds will, too. But if acting is giving Renee no happiness, kudos to her for searching and finding elsewhere. Maybe her calling is something else. She needs to heed that call.

I will miss her. I love how she specifically asked them not to do anything w/ cancer and they give her a brain tumor! LOL!

I would love to see Stefano/EJ try to take Theo away from Abe after Lexie dies.

I'm guessing last week was Renee's last days on the set. Kristian Alfonso and Deidre Hall had posted pictures with Renee Jones.

I think Galen Gearing is portraying a Latino.

James Reynolds is entirely un-impressive as an actor too; it is hard to make a case for keeping the Carvers around.

I don't care what Galen Gering is potraying. He is not Latino he is Basque and Jewish. I was talking about the minority actors left on this soap. And RJ was the only one I cared about cuz the other two we're stuck with are just there.

Yes, how very smart of her to save her money. I love this. To her, it was a job. She wasn't looking to be famous. She realizes that this job isn't fulfilling her needs in life anymore, and she's saved enough to keep her afloat in the years ahead. She was so underutilized and under-appreciated. She was a great talent and did amazing working during the babyswitch years. And how old is she? Because she ages like fine wine! I'll miss her, but it sounds like she's in a happy place in life, and has no regrets. Maybe she'll return as a ghost or something of that nature when the eventual time comes that DAYS goes off the air.

People like her and Marcy Walker are a little puzzling to me. Actors always say they had to go into acting that it was a real calling. If you just wanted money there are a lot of easier roads to travel. I understand soap acting is not the most satisfying acting there is, but it seems odd they grow tired of it with such ferocity. Even with all their hundreds of millions, top A list actors continue to act because acting is what they do. And then B list actors when the movie roles dry up still want to act and turn up on TV. Good luck to her with whatever it is she wants to do.
