I can honestly say that I am not surprised since Logo is owned by Viacom, who is notorious for this kind of sh!t. The writing was on the wall when I started seeing Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant marathons on the channel.

I wouldn't be surprised if that show, despite being the highest-rated original one on the network, gets the boot down the line.

Makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

Another example of Network Decay.

I don't watch LOGO. Yet, I find this weird that they're turning this into another 'We play whatever' type station. There's already enough of those. Seems like Niche stations are *this* close to dead.

Wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing CSI Miami on the Food Network soon. Or something as random as that.

This reminds me of when TNN became Spike.

This channel seemed to be held in low regard from early on.

I have heard nothing but bile about the A List and I am not sorry to see yet more bad stereotypes off TV.

The next time someone tells you about the gay agenda running all over TV, tell them about this LOGO stunt. Gay representation on TV continues to detiorate and humiliate.

Does it really matter what they show?? I remember getting the network and tuning in only to find crap programming...and the movies all chopped up.....I dont think I have watched it since......

This is an odd move. LOGO must have been losing money. I am pretty sure it is owned by CBS or that CBS has a stake in it which is why there was so much censorship. I think it will have to change its name if this change is going work since it is now so strongly identified with gay programming,

Most probably a financial decision. If crap like 'The A List' was the best they could offer, then no wonder the 'gay' viewers weren't interested.

Anyway,Bravo is the unofficial gay network.

I do think there is a change happening and gay consumers no longer wish to be pigeon holed.

I am so tired of advertisers trying to categorize everybody according to their research, which only seems to prove what they believed in the first place.

Basically!

OMG, what gay in glasses came up with this dumb ass idea? I could be very wrong, but this sounds like some executive or executives had a Come to Ellen moment about gay acceptance/integration, how the "gay issue" is no longer an issue, or it shouldn't be an issue any longer, and the only way to guarantee that is to not treat it like an issue, and BAM!, you have a gay network with no gay. HiLURRious. I pray for their sake that no one on their team tries to bring BET into this conversation because they will get served their own head.

I've only caught two shows on Logo, one was the Big Gay Sketch Comedy Show with Rosie and Chaz Bono playing Statler and Waldorf at the end. I remember the sketches I saw as being pretty funny. The one I constantly flip past while channel surfing is called 1 Girl 5 Gays and they just ask random questions and share their opinions. It was kind of funny but of course a lot of it was wannabe shocking sex questions and that got tiresome very quickly.

Maybe they could move away from their silly pink poofy pom-pom yay-yay we're gay type stuff and do more serious programming, like something that profiles a bullied gay teen once a week and stages interventions at his/her high school to educate and shame the bullies. There's no problem with doing a little reformatting, but when you have a platform like that, at least do something responsible with it. I guess the point though is why would a homophobe or anyone insecure in their sexuality watch a "gay network" to begin with, but you have to start somewhere.

    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
