GH: Discussion for the Month of March

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Is Michael Easton bringing out the fire from the Livvie/Caleb days that she's been forced to stifle ever since she was paired with the roided goiter known as Steve Burton onscreen? Or has that fire been completely extinguished due to years of being swallowed up by the cancer that is Jason Morgan?

Mileage certainly varies because she was far more engaged on PC than I've ever seen her on GH. I haven't seen her interact with Easton on this show, but if it comes any where near to what I remember from PC and their What If episode then I have no problem believing that there's a significant difference in her screen presence since he's arrived on canvas.

When Livvie/Caleb first started, I thought they had a lot of smolder, and sex appeal. I thought after that, when the show had no real plans for Caleb and just brought him back because Easton became popular, it wasn't the same. I didn't watch all that often but I remember preferring her "good" double, whom many fans probably couldn't stand.

I think Easton has had a basic chemistry with many of his leading ladies but he generally phones it in and the story becomes about how a woman loses her mind.

The only time Kelly has shown any energy sex appeal or life on GH was when she was paired with GVs Lucky. They had a surpassing energy to them and you could tell on screen they both adored working together.

I'm a woman and for the life of me to each his own but I will never understand the endless appeal of such low energy lifeless supposedly brooding leads like Burton, Easton, or Thorston Kaye on these ABC shows. They do and did stifle ever pairing they were in and that type of character lost it's appeal years ago ABC just never moved on.

Michael Easton looks like he needs a bath! He is a Nicolas Cage to me. No matter what, they look filthy! I don't watch too much GH these days, and I guess thats good because I don't wish to see this bum or non acting KA!

I absolutely loathe Cartini! Damn clowns!

I can concur with that. But one poster mentioned theNicolas Cage type of lead is no longer in, the sort of brooding antihero type that was so popular in some of the roles cage played years back and in the Batman films with Keaton. Just like time move on from the larger than life Indiana jones type hero. I think their time has passed which is part of the issue.

Unlike what TPTB are suggesting about Luke and Anna, Tracy and Anna actually have a history together. They were at the very least acquaintances and at the most friendly back in the days when Tracy was being duped by Paul and Anna was the Police Commissioner.

The main problem with bringing back characters from the past is their actual role in the past rarely reflects in what they do now. Anna, like Robert, is mostly there to rehab Luke. Her past seems irrelevant (and her relationship with Robin has also been underplayed).
