Ariane Muenker, who also acted under the name of Ariana Chase, runs an online business with her husband. She was best known for her roles on the NYC soaps in the 70s and 80s (AW, ATWT, GL, RH, etc.) and as a short-term Kimberly Brady on DAYS when Patsy Pease had to leave for personal/health reasons.

Christopher Cousins (Cain Rogan, OLTL) has a role as the silver fox potential love interest of Ben Daniels' sexy renegade priest on FOX's surprisingly underrated and likely soon to be cancelled The Exorcist series - a very gay-friendly show in both seasons and an unexpectedly great carrier of the franchise torch. And I'm real picky when it comes to The Exorcist, as the original and Bill Blatty's Part III are all-time favorite films of mine.

Florencia Lozano (Tea, OLTL, GH, OLTL 2.0) on Kevin Can Wait as Kevin James' neighbor and potential cooking  love interest.

Lois Smith(OLTL, TD, EON, AW, and so many more)  on 9JKL with Linda Lavin (TD, 1963, The Nana--The OC). Not a great show, but LS was funny as  "Wrong Grandma"

Both 11/20 on CBS.

It's cancelled already? Why am I not surprised?

Yes, Linda Lavin always seems to play the nagging Jewish mother on TV. Yet, she played the part to chilling effect years ago on an episode of L&O: CI. Outside of Alice Hyatt and before her, the volatile Det. Janice Wentworth on Barney Miller, she always does seem to play the same character on TV. Judging by her sheer volume of stage work, she's capable of so much more.

    • I have to admit I still have a nagging complaint about timelines - Why aren't we allowed to know how long Ted and Nicole have been married or how old Kat and Eva are? Or for that matter, when Anita last released an album? BTG is a new show with no SORAS or timewarping. MVJ and Guza are working from a fresh bible. There is no need to be so coy about ages and anniversaries, especially when most of the storylines are driven by past events.
    • It was an extremely rare interview even then - I was shocked when I read it (as mentioned I'd forgotten just how far in she went).  Malone was clearly hobbled by NBC and P&G, but re-using so many of his old stories and his soap bible instead of actually coming up with material suited to the characters or show did not help.
    • Seeing this trash get good ratings says nothing good about daytime audiences. It's embarrassing.
    • Cat does feel committed to being a goofball (the other term has been reconsidered in recent years).  I wonder, given her brother Aaron, if Cat was less attractive prior to the surgery?  Remember the 1973 movie The Girl Most Likely to?  My fanfic for the moment is Cat commenting on how people treat her differently now that she is gorgeous.  One assumes that pre-surgery, Cat never had two men fighting over her for a date.  So, it might be fun to see that side of the story.
    • It's probably one of the only conflicts the story will have, aside from Dante being upset with Lulu when the truth comes out. They really needed someone else who actually knows Gio is Dante and Brook Lyn's son and kept quiet.
    • So Cat wasn't a creation of Ron C.. but something that the strike writers generated? Perhaps the new writers will give her some layers and purpose on the show that doesn't revolve around Chad since isn't he on his way out next year?
    • Another good show today, but -- Why is super agent Joss holding that thumb drive in plain sight instead of stashing it in her denim shorts? Make it make sense. -- Dante going after Gio (in the previews) for Rocco's alcohol poisoning is lame and cliche, just a contrived way to drive a wedge between father and son.
    • Didn't he get all angry because the strike writers set her up to be Abigail? And he just went with the first thing that came to mind in order to prevent that?

    • That was an incredible interview.  I cannot imagine it ever happening with a performer currently on a soap.  I remember being extremely disappointed in Michael Malone.  I wish we had all of the backstage scoop on where things went wrong with him.
    • Go 'head, Brandon!! I was worried about this meltdown, but he's giving a pretty good meltdown. Knowing when to do it and just the right moment to pull back a bit.    These Kat vs Eva scenes. The best soap rivalry has the rivals have some empathy for the others though they dislike each other. And they are giving.    Yay! A brief SilkPress vs Dani moment.
