DAYS: October Discussion Thread

I would also prefer a story about Will being bisexual. Most of all I'd like to see Sonny have more stories of his own.

This is my concern--it feels like it's going to be a storyline that is played slow and cautiously, and would have only seemed cutting edge on a soap back in the early 90s.

I don't know I haven't seen one soap tackle bisexualtiy have they and no I don't count that revolting ish Pratt told on AMC. But someone brought up a good point in the AMC thread when talking about Biancas love life on AMC which we always know where its headed because it always has to be the other resident "lesbian" on canvas. Will being biexual would actually be an interesting twist because sexuality is not always black and white and it would actually be a brave way of handling it versus on AMC where all of a sudden MArissa is just gay no questions barred. I am just not getting the sense the show is that interested in this story at the moment. Its one thing to pace a story slowly its another for it to be nonexistant.

I had to agree with Jack today when he kept saying he didnt care what Daniel thought of him or if he bought his story bc realy he didnt have to explain himself to Daniel. Jen and Abby were all that mattered. I hate that the show glossed over the Jack and Abby scenes. They really should have shown them staying up all night and talking through their issues

Ugh to the preview though. Where the hell does Jack get off? Consideirng he is mad that Abby is dating a Dimera, I realy hope he mentions Peter and thats explained as the reason why he's so against his daughter being with Peter's little brother.

John asking Marlena for a divorce is a big WTF that came out of nowhere. Also when was he a cop exactly?

I hope there's a Peter mention too but being a Dimera is enough for a parent to worry.

Also when was he a cop exactly?

When he was Roman. And throughout the 90's, he was an unofficial cop helping Bo and Abe.

This Abby is still so weird and gross to me.

Just getting caught up, currently on the 10/5 episode.

But about this new Abby...yeah she's not working so well for me.

She seems overly tanned and just vaguely hooker-ish.

You mean she resembles a Bratz doll? Because that is what I've concluded.

Kate is necessary for the canvas, she is a primary antagonist, the classic "rich bitch" and in some ways, the anti-heroine of the show. Kate isn't really evil and she certainly isn't insane...she's...driven. Driven by a lot of things: her past, her present, her children and her anger towards those who she has perceived to have done her wrong. She is also fiercely loyal and protective of her children and family, she isn't all bad, I think it makes her more interesting to see Kate when she's vulnerable because it isn't often. Plus, she has a sense of humor.

Kate is not the type to allow herself to lose. She is, in my opinion, The Last of the Mohicans when it comes to a sexy, over 50, self interested, powerful woman on daytime television. There is literally nobody left on any of the shows. They've either been axed, neutered or made into a caricature. Kate remains vital and viable.

Kate and Lauren Koslow are fabulous. This storyline with Madison looks good!

I agree that Kate is necessary to the canvas, but a part of me can't help but to feel that fans would be more inclined to see this if Bill, Laura, and Lucas were in town. Something tells me that Bill would be the one to bring the vulnerable side out in Kate. For ATWT fans, Kate would be the Lisa(or Barbara) to the Horton's, Hughes.

I'm sorry I would rather have Austin Peck on the show. Muldoon's voice is so annoying and he has not aged well.

Daniel, go stick a fork up your ass and STFU. Who gives a [!@#$%^&*] what you think about Jack?

100% AGREED with this post, Eric83! I can't stand Patrick Muldoon and Dr. Orange Glo just needs to GTFO.

There is so much tension between Carrie & Sami, they're acting nice with each other but I am still finding myself waiting for those two to have it out and soon. LOL

I just can't stand Peck. The man couldn't remember his lines to save his life on Days.

Agreed. It was like watching a jar of mayonnaise try to emote.

I don't see any point for Austin, character or actor. Peck only became popular when he played a dumbass comedically instead of by default.

They should have just said Austin and Carrie split up.

Ive actually done this. had no idea who someone is and then when they tell me im like "OMG! Yes, totally. you look the same! lol"

Can you imagine THAT lets catch up lunch?

Mad: How have you been?

Sami: Well, i came home and i kidnapped my baby sister and tried to sell her on the black market, my mom was possessed by the devil, i went after my sisters boyfriend, i got raped, i raped austin to get prego but ended up knocked up by his brother, i lied about that, then i went to marry franco, but austins mom killed him and his brother set me up so i was on death row and almost died. after that i lied, blakcmailed, had a few failed wedding attemps. Ive actually had 12 weddings, 4 marriages, but they all end in annulment. Then i was a man for awhile. I also got raped again, and pregnant but my rapist was only the father of one baby. I slep with him years later and got knocked up again, saw a murder, was in witness protection, fucked and married the guy protecting me, lied about the baby and aid i adopted her, then she died, then i found out ejs wife nicole swapped my baby with my sons girlfriends and pretended it was hers, then she was kidnapped and i thought she died, and then rafe was replaced with an evil look a like to torture me. But thats just the highlights.

Mad: ohmy.pngunsure.pngblink.png

This is brilliant but you left out the part how she went to Iraq to work for the other side.

No one can ever say Sami led a dull life.

I think they are going for a romantic battling lawyers thing with them on opposite sides and this will lead to them splitting up. I don't think this set up is horrible, it is just something that has probably been done a million times before and by more interesting actors. Patrick Muldoon was acceptable in the 90s for what he was, but 20 years has taken its toll on him.
