August 10, 201114 yr Member Skin, thanks for your insight! Wow, those screams of "Mike!" were really from the gut.
August 10, 201114 yr Member What made Mike Roy so special for Erica? I've often heard him referred to as her greatest love and wondered if that was Susan/Agnes opining or if there was really something there that we saw from Erica that we didn't see with anyone else. Mike was the first guy who didn't take crap from Erica. He had no idea why she was supposed to be so famous so when she was being her little diva self, he refused to play along. It made their relationship imo very Tracy/Hepburn or Moonlighting with the rough guy and the high-maintenance woman. I'm very optimistic with Lorraine headwriting that the real Mike will be back and not the dull 1998 version!
August 10, 201114 yr Member According to Susan's book, she mentioned Mike Roy being the love of Erica's life. Or am I dreaming that?

August 10, 201114 yr Member OMG, I've been dreaming about this for years. Mike Roy is my absolute fave with erica, they better not mess this up like they did in the mid 90's.

August 10, 201114 yr Member I always associate Mike/Erica with that photo where she is, I think, in some red top (red or purple) and he's wearing those old school aviator glasses.
August 11, 201114 yr Member I've never see enough of Erica and Mike to pass judgement, though I did love what I saw. So, oooo, I'm intrigued. LOL, at the idea that David saved Mike for Erica. Awww, J&E enjoy the happiness you get next week, cause it's gonna be short lived. ETA: A friend of mine suggested that maybe Mike faked a second death, and is somehow behind Jane/Erica in the panic room. I don't know why, but this is definitely all tied together Erica/Jane/David/OP/Mike. The question is what and why. Edited August 11, 201114 yr by Kylie
August 11, 201114 yr Member Talk about random. Nicolas Surovy shows up on Oprah back in February with all of Erica's husbands. He has aged well.
August 11, 201114 yr Member I just don't understand this. If they wanted Mike back, why bother "killing" him again? Why not just bring him back? What is the deal with everything being tied to OP? It's so random.
August 11, 201114 yr Member You know, the Mike Roy who returned in '98 was so far afield (in terms of temperament) from the Mike Roy I'd enjoyed watching as a kid "back in the day," I'm willing to accept some cock-and-bull story about that dude not being the real Mike. (Perhaps, he was given Mike's identity, b/c the government had assumed him to be dead?) If that's so, then this could be the real return of Mike Roy. OTOH, maybe it won't be so far-fetched. Erica's supposed to be writing another book, right? She might just hire him to be her collaborator again. Who knows? Either way, I'm hoping Lorraine Broderick and Agnes Nixon remember who Mike Roy really is, because aside from the stuff I've seen w/ Brandon Kingsley, Mike was (IMO) the definitive love interest for La Kane.
August 11, 201114 yr Member Mike was last seen 13 years ago! Its not like he's been on the show recently. He could have very well died sometime within that time span
August 11, 201114 yr Member Frankly, this ship sailed for me. I remember the 98 storyline and wasn't thrilled with it then. I'd much rather see her end the show with Jackson - or ALONE, over Mike Roy.
