Well, let me clarify my comments on that... by "conclusion," I don't mean things should be wrapped up in a tidy little bow. What I mean is, not your typical Friday episode.... and I'm not exactly experiencing any panic over the notion that it won't have a satisfying conclusion. I actually believe it will.

I just want to, I guess you could say, try to dissuade any potential alternative - by putting in my two-cents (whatever that's worth... and along with others, of course) - and remind TPTB that their viewers do deserve a great finale on September 23 to wrap up AMC's television era.

Looks like MEK's probably leaving. Well, at least I can still watch OLTL. Which, I watch because I actually like the show. Not just for one actor.

Plus, the rest of the vets of AMC look like they're jumping ship too. So, yeah. It's crap now (sans Tad and his storyline.) It's actually been crap since around last year and I would have tuned out if it hadn't have been for my favorite actor being on there. So, yeah....Bye AMC. Hola! Hasta La Vista! One hour of my life is free!

Maybe this is going on and we don't know, but PP's first duty is to secure the AMC actors it can and do this NOW. They should already be contacting people. Unless they are total idiots, they should know viewers won't watch a show online or offline that they don't recognize. No one is going to watch just Colby, Asher, and a bunch of newbies and recasts. They need to get the actors signed on with the right combo of money/perks/scheduling freedom. The actors HAVE to have VI's attitude because they still need to to work. I can see a good number of the cast signing on if they can get the right offers and that doesn't equal just money.

It's just so funny to me, how so many people here were all up in the actors grills about them being liars when it came to the cancellation, now we're all throwing around he said, she said, as gospel. Funny, funny, funny.

I don't really see how it's a disaster that actors have said they aren't sure what's going on and asking people to wait. This news isn't even a week old.

Agnes didn't try to save AMC. She managed it, at least in some form. It may fall apart, but it's not just some senile delusion.

AMC has been a mess, aside from some moments here and there, for the last 15 years. I just don't see the harm in trying this venture, especially since they're trying to have a good finale even if the show does live on.

With AMC part of the problem with the situation right now is the lack of time. They are the guinea pigs (for lack of a better term) in this situation. No one knows what is up exactly and they have to decide quickly. With OLTL, they have months before the ABC aired episodes are finished taping, so they can figure out what the best course of action is on an individual basis. IMO for those who aren't staying with AMC I want the characters to get good endings...and I completely get why anyone would say no.

She does enough infomercials product-placements will generate more than enough income to keep the show afloat. Done!

This is becoming quite the circus, not sure if any of my posts have contributed to it, but in case they have....

I am not expecting everything to be wrapped up in a neat little bow even though marceline's scenario does sound quite enticing, far from it.... I fully expect Agnes and Lorraine to give us something decent. I just hope the fact that its moving online doesn't change the course of what they were doing. Based on the information, or lack thereof I am inclined now to think it won't.

I don't see how this is a disaster in any way, shape or form either. The show was dead and has been resurrected! What is the worst that can happen? Well, it could die again, but so what? Nothing will have been lost if this venture fails. I think AMC fans have everything to gain and nothing to lose that wasn't already lost.

You do have a point..... but I also don't think you can blame people for their cynicism regarding the venture. It is true though, the show will lose nothing that it hasn't already lost over the last decade or more. It certainly in my mind won't gain any of it back though through this, not based off of what we know now... which I guess is basically nothing. I'm going to shut up now and go to bed.

    • I don't mind her in the role. At all.
    • Love this from the AP article on BTG: For years, Veronica Redd played Mamie Johnson — Drucilla’s aunt — on “The Young and the Restless.” When she tuned into the premiere of “Beyond the Gates,” what she saw got her attention, but what she heard blew her away. “I was not prepared,” laughs Redd. It begins with a women driving a Mercedes-Benz through the gates of an exclusive country club. The Emotions’ “Best of My Love” is playing — something that told Redd the production value was top notch. Daytime isn’t usually Redd’s favorite genre even though she acknowledges “it’s paid the bills for many decades.” “Beyond the Gates,” though, has earned a spot in Redd’s TV time. “They got me hooked,” she says. -
    • It's a shame because I like the actress, but she was miscast. I'd say they should pull a DAYS and put her in another role.
    • Theoretically, I would agree, but it seems like Paul Avila Mayer and Stephanie Braxton did such a number on Hogan, Sunny and Liza that reuniting Hogan and Sunny would've been a toxic situation.
    • She painfully sticks out, it’s awful. I can’t believe the producers don’t see this.
    • Deidre Hall did really well in that last scene hearing about them closing in on John. John's funeral is going to be tough to watch.
    • And this is why I use a different video hosting site. It's interesting to me that on IG Sony only hits current not vintage. Also there's no penalty as long as you delete.
    • Are we sure we're not going to go down a Natalia Grace storyline here?

    • Probably. Stephanie is still so underdeveloped as a character to me.  She jumps from romance to romance and I feel like she takes on the persona and interests of the man she is with at the moment.  I don't really know her interests or personality.  And Stephanie certainly gets enough airtime to explore more than sex with Alex. I know she was interacting with Kayla today, but a lot of the dialogue was "Alex asked", "Alex thinks..", "Alex is now free so I have to go" lol.  What do you think about anything, Stephanie?
    • May 2025:   New Pope, Leo XIV is chosen in Rome, while the Italian Open tennis tournament is happening in Rome. The headline is "Sinner meets the Pope"  or  "Pope meets Sinner". LOL, this is tennis player Jannik Sinner. He met with Pope Leo and gave him a tennis racket. Leo plays tennis himself and is a tennis fan. (He is also a Chicago Cubs baseball fan).    https://apnews.com/article/pope-leo-jannik-sinner-tennis-italian-open-9305b5f2957ac15c7a405f836371ec1e The top-ranked tennis player visited the new pope on Wednesday, gave him a tennis racket and offered to play, during an off day for Sinner at the Italian Open. Leo, the first American pope, is an avid tennis player and fan and had said earlier this week that he would be up for a charity match when it was suggested by a journalist. But at the time, Leo joked “we can’t invite Sinner,” an apparent reference to the English meaning of Sinner’s last name. By Wednesday, all seemed forgotten. “It’s an honor,” Sinner said in Italian as he and his parents arrived in a reception room of the Vatican’s auditorium. Holding one of his rackets and giving Leo another and a ball, the three-time Grand Slam champion suggested a quick volley. But the pope looked around at the antiques and said, “Better not.” Leo, a 69-year-old from Chicago, then appeared to joke about his white cassock and its appropriateness for Wimbledon, perhaps a reference to the All England Club’s all-white clothing rule.
