Members KMan101
I don't see how he was robbed of a shot. He's gonna be singing with freaking FUEL! That's HUGE. Sure it's not a solo career ... yet ... but it's nothing to laugh about. In my opinion, I would of rather seen Taylor go than Chris, but I've been used to all these shockers (Jennifer Hudson, Latoya, Tamyra, Mandisa ... I don't list Constantine cause I dislike him severly but he should of stayed over Scott) so maybe that's why I'm not in the least upset. I think had Chris' fans not got so complacent that maybe he would of stayed over Katharine. According to DialIdol and Zaba, it was CLOSE. I mean REALLY close. Meh ... and even Carrie only won with 122 votes. So... I'm rooting for Elliot. I don't think we'll ever see a rocker win American Idol (Kelly I suppose, is the closest, LMAO). Chris was a little too good for American Idol, IMO. Should he of won? Probably... but now it's actually gonna be interesting in the finale and not a given we see Chris win... And remember, Chris was in the bottom two before, so ...

Members R!ck
Each contestant will sing three songs, one selected by famed producer Clive Davis, one by the IDOL judges and one of his or her own choosing. Here's the Judge's song choices from RealityTvMagazine Taylor Hicks - “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker selected by Randy Jackson. Elliott Yamin - "What You Won't Do For Love” by Bobby Caldwell selected by Paula Abdul. There was no official announcement but Katahrinefans.com is reporting... Katharine McPhee - “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Judy Garland selected by Simon Cowell Bucky Covington Rumored To Be Meeting With Sawyer Brown All the news agencies are busy reporting on the band Fuel's offer to Chris Daughtry, but it turns out that there is another American Idol finalist that might be getting an offer to join a major band. American Idol finalist Bucky Covington has recently turned up in Nashville, Tennessee. A Reality TV Magazine reader spotted Bucky Covington in the Nashville Airport, and a caller to Nashville radio station WSIX reported seeing Bucky Covington at a local Nashville restaurant. The caller to WSIX also had some inside scoop on why Bucky is in Nashville. According to the caller, Bucky has been meeting with Mark Miller and Sawyer Brown to discuss a possible deal with them. Sawyer Brown’s interest in Bucky Covington was first reported the day after Bucky’s elimination from American Idol 5.
Members KMan101
Mulder, "speaking out two sides of my mouth" is not true. I do like Chris, but I also had my issues with him. I'm entitled. I'm a fan who can dish out critcism. Don't defend him just to defend him, is all I'm saying. I just get bothered when fans are so blinded they can't even see someone's faults. I do like Chris. I think he is one of the best male vocalists this show has had, but he just wasn't meant to win. It happens time and time again. Not trying to be an [!@#$%^&*] here, just stating my opinion. I know people disagree with me on this, but if you really think about it, it's TRUE. America will always make the winner the person who would benefit the most from it and needs it the most. I truly, 100% believe in that. It SHOULD be about who is hands down the best vocalist, but as we've seen, it rarely happens. And just to point out, I was HATING Taylor very early on in the competition. I still dislike him. He is the worst left there. I still don't think he'll win like a lot of people seem to believe. I am going to keep saying this whether people agree with me or not: it's now Elliot's to lose. And Mulder, the voting thing wasn't directed at you ... no need to be nasty with me either. I'm just expressing my opinion like everyone else. Frankly, I'm happy Chris lost because he deserves better than being stuck under the American Idol fold. He'll have more freedom away from them. Members RogerNewcomb
I don't like this song for Elliott. I don't know how memorable it will be. Hopefully he changes it up a bit. Is Mark Miller leaving Sawyer Brown? Otherwise, what do they want Bucky for? Background singer?
Members Greg
Rick I could not agree more with all your posts about Chris. It is like we are sharing the same mind waves here. lol Chris was so boring! The same thing week after week after week...yawns. Who likes the same thing day in and day out? I am so glad he is gone...and his reaction to being kicked out was beyond priceless. All the salty reactions from his fans is pretty comical too. It is SO Funny how they all try to come up with some BS to explain him losing. Loves it!
Members PhoenixRising05
Based on those song choices by the judges, it seems they are pushing for a Taylor/Kat finale. I think they may be doing that to help ensure Taylor of a win since he has been more popular then Kat. That song choice for Elliot scares me and Kat should do very well with that song since she could show her range with that. If it comes down to Taylor/Kat, I am gonna organize a group to vote finale night to help push for Kat. She is one of my faves but was not my choice to win it but against Taylor I prefer her winning it.
Members KMan101
I could see Kat pulling out ahead of Taylor. I think "everyone" (read: the casual fan) is pulling for Taylor (YUCK), but I sense an "upset" (which is more than fine by me) will happen again. And Greg ... thank you! I totally agree about the Chris situation.
Members R!ck
I'm not sure Roger? Maybe they want him as a co-lead singer like Brooks & Dunn or Big and Rich? I do think Mark Miller and Bucky would sound good together. I thought "Mission Temple Fireworks Stand," "Tarzan and Jane," and "They Don't Understand" were great songs and can't see why their CD didn't do that well last year. Members King
No way. Kat McPhee is DONEZO! Considering every Chris fan will now pretty much resent her being there over Chris, I highly doubt she will get any of Chris' votes. Bye, Kat! Members Bree
Not surprised Simon chose Somewhere Over the Rainbow for Kat to sing. It's a pretty easy song and anyone with a decent voice can pull that off. That reeks of a sympathy selection for me.
Members DaysnPassionsFan
What the hell is going on? MSNBC's Scarborough Country had this long segment of its show tonight talking about "Was Chris Robbed?" WTF!?!?! He got eliminated... boo hoo... get over it
Members kelli_blue
If Kat wants to be one of the final 2, she has GOT to sing her ass off tonight. I hope she chooses the right songs!
Members JERSoapsFan
Oooh, I think she just did. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was just ABSOLUTELY phenomenal. I was just floored. By the way, Phoenix, I got what you said about Taylor. During his first song, I was facing my computer and only listened. He was waaaaaaaaaay off. But I think it was due to all the movement from the dancing around and acting drunk. Once he stood still for "You Are So Beautiful," he did us proud. Chris robbed? HA. He would have MURDERED tonight's songs. Very limited range.
Members kelli_blue
That was THE song of the season! WoW!! I knew Kat had it in her. Hopefully that performance will help her to the Final 2!! GO KAT!!!
