May 11, 201114 yr Member I figured Jacob Young would get a nod. Didn't he have that cancer storyline? Also, the stuff towards the end of last year was good also.
May 11, 201114 yr Member So Bree Willamson got an Emmy nomination for some of the worst work of her career, and ever on OLTL. No wonder OLTL kept vomiting up the sicko MPD stories for her.
May 11, 201114 yr Member Congratulations also to Crystal Chappell (Carly), who received a nomination as executive producer of the web series "Venice", which was nominated in the Special Class Short Format category. Didn't see that and damn sure didn't know this category existed. I'll go ahead and be an !@#$%^&*] and say since I thought OLTL was a giant turd last year, I have no problem with its lack of nominations in the drama or writing categories. Laura Wright? Well, I guess Katherine Kelly Lang will finally get hers next year.... Edited May 11, 201114 yr by Vizion
May 11, 201114 yr Member What did RPG do last year to warrant lead? The story where he was lost from Melmac and bonded with an ordinary Earth family was canceled. LOL
May 11, 201114 yr Member There's very few reasons to get excited about these nominations. The Y&R love.......
May 11, 201114 yr Member I'm surprised and happy Doug Davidson and Tricia Cast were nominated. The only two in that category, besides Nancy Lee Grahn, who are actually supporting actors. I will be pleased if Davidson somehow beats Chompers, who gave up on his acting a long time ago, IMO. None of the others in that category are supporting actors, and several of them, like JJ, are nominated based on what they were a long time ago, not their work now. Edited May 11, 201114 yr by CarlD2
May 11, 201114 yr Member Wow, I thought Jerry ver Dorn was a shoe-in. The writing was absurd, but he sold it in spades. Brittany Allen LMAO.
May 11, 201114 yr Member Is there a list anywhere telling us which episodes the nominations were based on? I am curious to see how DOOL got a writing nomination. For GH, I have no idea what MB, LW, NLG or JT could possible be nominated for.
May 11, 201114 yr Member Strassers' gonna be ticked! But oh well. She's never been overly liked by the cast and, especially crew.
May 11, 201114 yr Member Britanny Allen as Potted Plant Chandler You can tell they were scraping the bottom of the barrel withthat one considering theres only 3 nominees total Im glad Debbie Morgan and MCE got nominated. They so deserve a win. I cant beleive That Woman got nominated on GH though No Jerry ver Dorn is a BIG FAIL of massive proportions Edited May 11, 201114 yr by Cheap21
May 11, 201114 yr Member I'm thrilled for Michael Park! There's a sweet story that Maura picked his reel and campaigned for him, so that takes some of the sting out of her absence, not that it still doesn't blow. I am surprised neither Trent or ESS got a nod. And Julie Who-Did-She-Get-Billy-To-Blow Pinson....UGH. Just UGH! I almost would have rather seen Terri Columbino. Almost.
May 11, 201114 yr Member Congrats to both Melissa Claire Egan and Debbi Morgan!!! Hope they both win!
