Dear God, did anyone "get" Becky Lee in the '90's?

What was done to Becky Lee was a travesty.  One of the show's  good, kindhearted heroines of the 80's was turned into a money hungry hick.  I think Mary Gordon Murray was put on contract when she was brought back but I think the show got so much negative feedback that she was written off at the end of her first contract cycle.

It was so awful.

The Tina character in the 1970s (played by Andrea Evans) was very different from the one that returned to Llanview (played first by Keli Mulroney and then again by Ms. Evans).

Weren't there three actors cast as Paul Cramer?   One was a temporary substitute.   I loved the character when David Tom was playing Paul.

Finally, what happened to Marcie?  Did she die or did she go to prison?

Brock Cuchna (2003–04)
David Tom (2004–05)
Shane McRae (2004)

Michael tells Marcie about an exciting job offer at a hospital and they decide to leave Llanview and start over. Waiting for a cab to pick them up on June 17, 2009, they are overjoyed when a home test reveals that Marcie is pregnant

Marcie reappeared at least once or twice in the following year - IIRC the teens turned up in Marcie and Michael's new town, ran into her at the hospital, and she promptly gave birth then and there.

I thought running into a bunch of annoying teenagers would do the opposite. ;)

I was referring to the character played by Francesca James, who was not very nice.  I don't remember her last name, and her name may have been spelled "Marcy."

Can’t wait to watch that interview when I get home (stupid work...)

EH still looks great for being 87 years old!

There are about 20 videos on that channel with Ellen, if anybody wants to see them all.

Still beautiful. I'd give anything to see OLTL back and honoring her. She can skype in her performance like Warren Frost on Twin Peaks!

I'd kill to see that Sadie/Carla cliffhanger. The fact that OLTL ended up so incredibly white and insular is a damn shame (I know the show was "diverse" or WHATEVER but I don't think any soap has embraced having a truly diverse cast of characters where people of color feel fully integrated into the story and as important as any of the white characters).

My mother tells me that the black audience knew Clara/Carla was black. We're usually good at spotting our people.

Was Carla a lighskinned black woman or biracial? Did we ever learn anything about her father?
