The theme has been growing on me as well. I think it's very far ahead of any other soap. Y&R should take note.

@ Curve: I also liked the magazine cover a lot. Katie or someone in the audience of the new opening could at least hold one in a hand or so. LOL As for Beautiful; they paused for soccer championship in the Summer I think. And likely the Winter Olympics when they took place in Turin. I think they lost 4 weeks each...

UGH! So I'm gonna have to wait awhile before I see how they use the Italian theme for these credits?

i was surprised to see Pam in this bc I didnt think she was still on contract by how unfrequently she's been on since the summer.

Eh...I don't think I like it. It's still to fast, too busy with the actor/role names and they've lost the intimacy with everyone so far away. Even the fashion show concept seems like a bait&switch, since they really don't do those anymore. And even if it's not, now the fashion shows they do from now on are going to look fifth rate compared to what you see in the opening.

How superficial of me, but thanks to this opening, I've been inspired to give B&B a try. We'll see how it goes as I simply cannot stand Amber.

We had a fashion show not too long ago when the Brooke/Thomas picture was taken. Just before that there was teh Hope for the Future where Amber was outed and there was that one at Jackie M where Rick dressed up as her greek god. These all happened within the past few months. The show still does fashion shows

The version that aired was different from the one in the clip. The music was slightly different, clapping sounds were added and Dayzee now has a last name - Leigh.

And look at how crappy those last ones were. Dinky runway, crappy clothes, no drama to speak of. They're definitely not the events they used to be. That freakin' runway in the opening looked fifty feet long. It was long enough to have multiple models struttin' down it. Not looking like it would collapse if two people walked on it at the same time.
