They can't/won't write for characters who can drive story and they do write for the characters who are unable to drive story.

I'd rather AP return to Days as Austin. OLTL should have brought on Trent Dawson, but I think I read he's doing Broadway

Exactly, and if so, does he need to look like that? I also have a hunch that this is short term, but the parade of fit white men doing scenes in towels or black boxer briefs is cheap and pandering. Team Clint, team Bo, team Matthew, team Vimal, team Shaun! There are a lot of interesting actors and characters on this show who have draw and charisma unrelated to their body types and I'd much rather watch them in interesting storylines.

I remember when it was said that Austin Peck and Brody Hutzler were both considered for the role of Joey. Of course, Tom Degnan was given the part. The hiring of Austin Peck may be my fault! LOL. I also said back then that he and Brody Hutzler would eventually land new roles on OLTL. Brace yourselves folks, Brody Hutzler will be next to arrive.

Yup....just hated him on ATWT. I was so happy when his character was killed off.
