This crash is an example of when a television show doesn't take full advantage of being a television show. No, I don't need to see a CGI bus crashing down a CGI ravine. Nor do I need to see a bunch of stunt performers in bad wigs hurling themselves across the soundstage. But, for the love of verisimilitude, at least have a crumpled up front end or chassis in sight... somewhere. My goodness! It looks like the mothership just beamed them down in the middle of snow.

I'll be as PC as I can... My eyes didn't react kindly to the old Morgan.

And I'll leave it at that. :)

I'm not judging the CGI. I'm just saying, they don't even need to do that, as far as I'm concerned. Just have set dressing that tells viewers "BUS CRASH!" Don't just have them passed out in the middle of the snow with no bus in sight and have characters say "BUS CRASH, CRASH, BUS CRASH, CRASH!" every other word in the script and think that's going to give the appearance of a bus crash.

They'd have been better off if they staged an avalanche.

You don't need special effects for a story like this. Frankly, the Good Times episode where Florida and the kids were stranded in the snow on a bus, or wherever, was more suspenseful. All you need to do is make viewers care, and GH struggles to do that.

In GH's defense it is almost impossible for GH to make the online audience care.

"All we see are Dante and Brenda!"

"Oh, a bus of these people? They're all expendable, don't care"

There is no way GH can win in trying to please the audience, so they are better off not trying and just doing the best show they can and hope it works out for the best.

It's not the bus crash that's bad. It could have pleased TONS of people. It's the cheap, gimmicky way they did it.

There's nothing wrong with the people on the bus. Are they all expendable? Yep. But they're just not DOING anything with bus crash. It just sort of...happened.

Unless that bus had an open convertible rooftop I'm still not understanding how everyone got launched out of it like that.

How the heck did Cameron not have any injuries of any kind? He had no blood on his body or injuries or anything?? I am glad he's ok but really, it looked like he was just on the snow and Steve woke him up from a nap.

How come Steve to the rescue didn't check poor Ali's head? Blood was gushing out of it and no one seemed to care! She was acting pretty strange, to. I think she'll die later on from that head injury.

How did Lucky not know that Cameron was on that trip? And how come no one called him or Elizabeth right away?? Wow!!

Poor Olivia, I hope she makes it. Loved her scenes with Steve.

Michael climbed up that mountain mighty fast. His body must have been in perfect shape after falling out of the sky. WTF.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
