Thoughts:
Rashad really is doing his best to look out for Max, but poor Grayson has absolute terror on his face. If he intends to participate in the events surrounding the plasma ring, he must maintain a composed demeanour.
Poor Anita. Her face reveals her fear of going to the hospital. I understand, but if she is in that much pain, then she needs to speak up and seek help to alleviate what she is feeling.
I know it is not easy for Vernon to put his foot down or for Anita to not go toe-to-toe with him, but going to the hospital is the absolute right decision.
I appreciate Grayson's efforts to protect Ashley, but I hope it does not have negative consequences for him.
I appreciate that Tomas is trying to support Katherine. I just hope she does not fück it up like she does everything else.
Dani's investment in Nicole's dating life with Carlton and Kial is something I truly admire. If only Nicole could merge what she likes in Carlton and what she likes in Kial into one singular individual. She would be all set.
Dr Monica promptly ensured Anita received the necessary care, which I appreciate. Dr. Monica focused on understanding the situation, including the extent of Anita's pain, so she could accurately diagnose what was happening.
A DNR order is intense, but it is also Anita's choice for herself. I appreciate how pulled back Shanice actually is with her right now.
Things are getting scary for the plasma ring, and I am worried for everyone who is directly (and indirectly) involved right now.
I love that Monica is trying to shift Anita's focus from cure to time and what it could mean for her future. I know it's tough to recognise, but at the end of the day, time is important.
Notes:
Slater and Paige! A kick-ass day! Love their work. There was a genuine flow and classic appeal to today's episode.
Tamara Tunie (Anita) better win a damn Daytime Emmy for her work in this storyline. It is realistic and will change lives for those who watch but may not know how to navigate things, especially if they lack the support system that Tunie's Anita does.
