Nikki was lacking in both book smarts and street smarts.

Of all of Nikki's rivals, I think she was most threatened by Ashley and Christine. Ashley and Christine were both intelligent, educated, and had successful careers (Ashley in business, Christine in law) whereas Nikki hadn't really accomplished much in her life except for being Mrs. Victor Newman. There was also the element of class differences with Ashley (Nikki from a working class background, Ashley from a wealthy business-owning family) and age and attitude differences with Christine (Nikki older snooty lady of the manor, Christine younger and kind-hearted).

True! I loved her Playing A Bitch on GH even if it was only for 5 minutes lol Allegra Montenegro couldn't been a great substitute for Helena in her absent years!

They are in the vault though but you would have to look through September 1982 to mid 1983 to find them, it shouldn't be a sacrifice, that is a super interesting period for the show

I just remember Julia dropped by Nikki's house and Victor and Katherine are there. Katherine started getting catty towards Julia as she was leaving and they exchanged barbs. Julia commented to Victor that every time she was around him women wound up clawing at each other. The scene was on youtube before it was pulled. Not sure of the original airdate.

I found this promo from 1980.

@YRfan23

A couple years too late but I was going back through 2004 and realized that Esther’s Las Vegas marriage and financial loss shown back in Esther/Kate Linder’s 40th anniversary tribute actually occurred in March 2004 and not under MAB as I had misremembered. From the 3/22/04 recap:

Katherine goes to the athletic club and sits down at the bar. When the bartender asks her what it will be, she sighs and says that she would like a coffee. He tells her that is a good choice. As Katherine is telling the bartender that there is a man in her life that is trying to help her, a loud crash interrupts her speech. The bartender rolls his eyes and says they have a new bus person. When Katherine sees that it's Esther she comes to talk to her. Why is Esther bussing when she has all sorts of money saved? Esther tells Katherine that she met and wedded a guy who had gambled away all of her money. Katherine wants to know why she didn't come home. Esther doesn't want to get in the way of Katherine and Jill's relationship.

Y&R is currently broadcast in France and Belgium but I don't know of any other countries in Europe where it is currently broadcast. I know in the past it was broadcast in Germany, Italy, Switzerland.

If there would ever be a Y&R DVD collection release in Europe, I'd say it would most likely be in France.

Im through April and halfway through May 2015..

God. Justin Hartley was such a blessing for this show and the chemistry with Chelsea was so real.. shame current ones act like Chadam was unimportant lmao But this Billy Abbott was so likeable. I would’ve preferred him over the current one. The way he humiliated Chelsea at their wedding. So soapy. Loved it. And the way he fought against the newmans was peak.

Y&r had some storylines in the past that were „out there“ to put it nicely but this Victor and Marco/Jack storyline is the campiest stuff I’ve ever seen on Y&R. I expect stuff like this from like Days or GH.. Hell even from B&B.. But not From Y&R.

im 50/50 if I like it or not. I mean it gives my boy Peter B. so much screentime and the abbotts but it’s such camp lmao I can only imagine that Peter had such a field day and so much fun with it. BUt it for gave us John Abbott for a few episodes

I love the irony that Adam pretends to be Gabriel while his closest friend he has is not even Jack but Marco pretending to be him. That’s hilarious.

Avery (the hottest babe this show had in years) and Dylan finally broke up and Sharon finall got rid of the murder charges against her. Even though this murder story with the teens felt like some pretty little liars from temu version it was still well paced tbh and Dylan and Sharon’s story too.

I‘m a die hard Nick-Sharon Fan BUT Dylan is the only men I can accept and love with her. Steve Burton actually played his heart out on Y&R. Why on earth would he go back to GH to do literally nothing? And why didn’t he return to Y&R after 2021 and joined Days

    • Best episode of "BTG" since its premiere. I thought it was Andre.
    • It has taken a goddamn year but they finally got Gio shirtless.
    • Who's door did Eva pop up at? It looked like Ted.
    • Today I fully appreciate Rocco - for the first time! "In case you can't tell, we're freshmen." He has got it going on in that brain of his! Yeah, but I've been having trouble with Brook Lynn, I guess, for 2 weeks now.  God bless Tracy Angelica Quartermaine! How can that woman, seemingly so rigid, so dug-in, turn on a dime the way she just did?!!! Of course, Danny is way glib for his age! "My brother is an Introverted Extrovert." Hilarious! And, the thing that shocked me, and really just rocked me back ... Dante has been IN LOVE with Lulu this whole time. He never stopped being in love with her!!! No, I did not see that coming.  Kudos to the GH Team today!!
    • Great script Great scenes Tracy BLQ Lulu and Dante were Great Poor Rocco. Be ok Damn Gio and Vaughn are hot as hell Not liking BLQ demanding Maxie pick between her and Lulu
    • With the ending of today's great episode, Leslie has to have the biggest donkey dick of courage I've ever seen.
    • The answer I was looking for is "he is Elvis Aron Banks Jr. " which is what I thought was the case but I was too unsure to say so!!!! Thanks, as always. I mean, there is NO Elvis Aron Banks Sr. so there was no real need for Susan to make him a Junior!!!  But, she seems to have her own way of doing, just about everything, which is okay.

date: Friday, May 2 | Teresa Zimmerman, Judy Tate | Steven Williford The drama-rama is drama'ing! This is juicier than the freshest of fresh peaches picked right from its home. Deadbeat, finally able to get his frustrations out physically on someone; instead of it being Bradley, it's Dana. I love the unraveling of Dana's names (Leslie, Sherry, Anna, et al.). It's juicy. And look at Dr Carlton, chiming in. I love the way Anita and Dani fled to Nicole's side, and then Vernon trying to excuse everyone but "immediate family" (and I am sure Mona as well) from the room. Dana is coming undone. She really is. Her numerous ways of pronouncing "Teddy" to everyone. Oh, Nicole's collapse into a furious Anita hearing "lover" coming from Dana's mouth. BILL KNOWS SOMETHING! His all-too-casual non-denial shows he knew about something concerning the affair, and of course the child bride wants to know what it is. Love that Shanice visited Vanessa; I wonder what kind of friendship they may actually have. Well, now we know Bill's involvement, AND the bombshell has been dropped: Eva is [supposedly] Ted's daughter he thought Dana aborted. "Smarty Marty". Whew. Good name for Deadbeat. I appreciate Dani's anger and hurt being focused into anger and love for Nicole. Dana swishing her way out of the main part of the country club to her closet was everything. A soap villain sashaying her way from the havoc she's wrecked. I appreciate that both Anita and Vernon are assuring Mona is not to blame in this. She's an innocent in this. But her looks to Eva? Those could cut like a butter knife. Douglas knows Vanessa has cheated and is continuing to cheat. ARE WE ABOUT TO GET KATHERINE VERSUS TED?! Oh, this is going to be even juicier than I could have ever asked for. CAN PEOPLE STOP SITTING ON TABLES! IT'S SO ANNOYING! Dana's little daydream of talking to Nicole was everything; that's the "crazy" (a.k.a., mental illness). Billy boy, it's time for your turn in the hot seat. Stop rubbing toes and get your ass to the main house. Not Dana showing up at the Dupree home. Oh, what does she have planned next?! Whew... chile. General notes: Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) gave an empowered performance in today's episode. She commanded the set that day. This is an Emmy-worthy supporting performance. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) is one that has really shown in the past few episodes; she's another young star in the making. She embodies Eva in every single sense. She brings the scripts to life through her craft. Maurice Johnson (Ted) brought nothing. I'm not surprised he was recast at this point. Keith D. Robinson would have rocked these scenes and actually presented something to the table.
