OMG I completely forgot she and Greg were tested for Abit, at that point Bell was getting tired of Peggy it seems lol, I wonder why she was written out a year before her family was? Hey does anyone know about Victor giving Peggy the bedroom eye back in 1981 and her and Eve I guess becoming chums like wtf where did that interactions even come from

Too much little stories back in those days that are never to be heard or seen again.

I think 1980 through 1982 were transition years..so bill bell was experimenting..testing characters out, etc.  Probably the rare time he actually wasnt writing in story bubbles.

I recall actors loving holiday parties, costume bells, etc because it meant working with others they normally didnt work with.

Bill bell was big into story bubbles with little overlap..and Marland was huge into overlap even when it didnt make sense for characters to interact.  Nixon/labine were better at balancing out story bubbles and story overlap..imho

Victor and Peggy....WOW.....that is a little tidbit that got lost with time. Too bad nothing came of that. It does seem Bell never knew what to do with Peggy and just tossed her into storyline mixes to see what would happen. Another storyline that happened around that time was Jack Abbott sniffing around after Chris to break up her and Snapper and Chris not discouraging him.

Lol your right there was a time they even had Chris interacting with the Abbot's all for it to go nowhere but apart of history, another thing I had read about was there was a time I think Vanessa wanted to attack Lorie and Victor walked in stopping the whole thing LMAO I would love to see that

I wonder how Victor and Vanessa were in scenes together, I know it could not be a friendly scene of any kind

Victor and Vanessa would be unreal to see together in a scene. I bet there was tension to the max there. Also reading synopsis, I take it Stuart thought Nikki was trash and didn't want her living in his house when Liz asked him because Nikki was having to strip to pay the bills.....LOL. There was also a scene where Peggy also wanted Nikki to move in.

I looks like Bell would have tested Peggy with Andy or Kevin Bancroft.

Lol wait hold on a minute Peggy was tested with Andy or Kevin? I never heard but that's interesting if that happened and yes I did hear Peggy invited Nikki to stay at the brooks so it looks like they were close enough at one time for her to do that.

Stuart is an [!@#$%^&*] but I swear when Liz asked him if Nikki could stay it was 1979? Didn't she start stripping in 1981 or Stuart just knew she use to get around alot I guess lol

No, Peggy was never tested with Andy or Kevin far as I know. I just wondered why Bell never tried that. Peggy may have been gone before Kevin's arrival. I don't know when she stopped appearing. She was on as far as late 1981, but I don't know if she made it into 1982.

I think Chris insisted Nikki and Greg  have their wedding reception in her fathers house in 1979 and Jill  suggested to have the wedding there as well. Stu was concerned that it would make Liz uncomfortable since he was married to Jill at that point, but Liz thought it was a beautiful suggestion. Stu was also close to Greg and was OK with it. Peggy invited Nikki to stay with them in 1981 when she was on the outs with Greg and was stripping. Did Nikki stay there for a time or did that fall through ?

It would be funny if they had done a scene where Stu, Liz, and Peggy a having breakfast with Stu reading the latest edition of The Chronicle and Nikki comes down in a baby doll nighty and sits at the table.

Waw, this post made my day!

Would you be ok to share/sell some of your suspenseful cues? I’ve been through hell trying to get to buy them and I wasn’t even able to reach out to Jack Allocco and David Kurtz, while the Y&R stuff is not responsive. I only have a bunch of those composed since November 2012 and a couple of those from the 70s. I really wish Y&R started a streaming program but they don’t seem to be interested. Bold and Beautiful have theirs available already but I cannot say I’m a big fan of those...

I’d really appreciate if you were willing to sell some of yours, please let me know if and how it works

Yea as far as I know Peggy didn't make it to 82 last month of 81 is August seems to be her disappearence time,I wonder if she got a send off saying bye to her family back then.

You know what would have been interesting if they had done a triangle with Stuart/Liz/Vanessa that would have been golden and Katherine gettting involved to help Liz

Stu/Liz/ Vanessa would have been awesome. Vanessa would have met her match going up against Katherine. I doubt Peggy got a send off. Bell just didn't know what to do with her and probably dropped her. That 1980-82 period was a mixed bag of stuff that left viewers scratching their heads. You mentioning Victor giving Peggy the bedroom eye could have opened up story for her. She could have taken a job as his personal girl Friday.

Lol I found the recap for the peggy/Victor interactions just so you see it for yourself lol

Yes your right Vanessa would have met her match with Katherine because Katherine ain't no punk when it comes to battle but either is Vanessa so it would have made for some real soap mess

    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.

    • I'm not sure who wanted them to dump REUNION & instead do a "Dallas-like daytime show" but it seems that it def came from NBC to AW through Rauch, so, yes, it absolutely could have been his (cough-another-stupid?) decision!!!! I've just begun the new Lisanti book so maybe I will find out. (I waited for the kindle version to come out.) I would apologize for being so critical & so sarcastic, too, but, well, I'm not actually sorry!  Silverman was NOT a friend to AW.  And, I believe the critique is on point & deserved! I wanted to explain why I think the timing is off for the 90 minute show to be a reaction to the GH Luke & Laura story & its hype. Because, for sure, networks & production companies did react to it! The first 90 minute show was Monday, March 5, 1979.  And, there was some unknown amount of time ahead of that with people arguing about it & then, planning it.  The Luke & Laura wedding was mid-November 1981.  They were on the run from Frank Smith & stayed overnight in Wyndham's Dept. Store early August 1980.
    • terrible at using forums and inserting photos, but jake in another world had a drag persona named doris, anyone know the episode or year? http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/ffad19.jpg
    • Yes, I am familiar with Fred Silverman. Agree, the 90 minute AW a very poor decision by Silverman. I think Silverman was behind the decision to go with Texas.
    • Thanks -- you're doing God's work The Gio reveal was everything I hoped for and more. GH got it right. Head to toe, GM is a stunning physical specimen.
    • I really wonder how they'll handle Netflix's usual long breaks between seasons. That girl is going to grow up fast... makes me wonder if this wouldn't have been a better fit for HBO Max considering they're leaning into a more broadcast style of production model with The Pitt.
    • I agree -- I didn't suspect Ted, either. I think a lot of people are giving themselves way too much credit in predicting Ted's problems

And can I have a different take on Ted here? Yes, he's made a huge mistake with this Leslie debacle, and yes, he has to suffer and pay for it. But does that make Ted a terrible human being? I don't think it does. He made a horrific mistake over 2 decades ago, and as far as we know, he's been a good husband and father since. As far as we know, he hasn't strayed or violated his marriage since. He didn't know that he fathered another child, and thought he "removed" Leslie from his life. I won't blame Nicole if she doesn't forgive him, but I also won't blame her if she decides what they have and what they've had more than makes up for what he did. Ted is getting dragged far more than Bill is on these boards, and I think Bill is MUCH worse as a husband and father. How many times did he cheat on Dani during their marriage? How many times did he do vile things in his role as fixer? How much did he hurt his daughters by screwing their friend and marrying her? With Keith Robinson coming in as Ted, maybe we'll see a character change in direction and we'll discover that Ted has many flaws and always had a dark side. For now, though, I'm inclined to both be angry with Ted for hurting his family while also sympathizing with him. I know what you mean, but I do think that was intentional. So much was going on in that episode, and I think they decided not to let Nicole's reaction be lost in all that. Nicole will get those scenes that you're asking for.
