This was an outstanding episode. It really built up the tension to the final fight. Watching the group scatter to the winds was also heartbreaking.

I have no problem with them killing off Judith, if that indeed happened. It was unrealistic that the fetus could have survived given Lori's poor nutrition during her pregnancy. I would have had Lori and Judith die in childbirth.

Ok, before I judge Michonne getting away from The Gov so easily, can you guys tell me your opinion?

The Gov has had a boner for Michonne for 1 1/2 seasons and she just rolls away to be able to free herself? Was that too convenient or should I chalk it up to all of the shooting being a distraction? It just made no sense that Michonne was let out of The Governor's sight because I felt that he killed Hersch instead of Michonne for the sole purpose of torturing her when he got the chance.

The Governor is batshit crazy. He was done with Michonne at that moment; he was after Rick, the prize of the prison and mass slaughter. Also, he was being fired upon. He's nuts enough to have totally let her slip his mind. I don't think he was thinking - he's psychotic. If he spared a thought at all in that firefight, he probably figured he'd kill her later, with her still subdued. It didn't surprise me at all when her ass rolled away Ninja Gaiden-style and almost immediately got loose, though.

Michonne did seem to get away very easily, but Phillip was crazy so once he focused on killing Hershel, he forgot about Michonne in that moment.

I think that you cannot rationalize Phillip's actions because he is crazy as hell.

Also, once the shooting started, Phillip's group started to shoot back, but there he was crawling after Hershel to finish taking off his head. The man was a lunatic. It always cracks me up when the few people talk about what a good leader he is. Really?!

Scott Wilson (and Hershel) remind me a great deal of my stepfather, who I've known most of my life - Hershel's a bit more verbose, but they're both quiet, simple men who are humble, plainspoken and gentle, with a genuine appreciation for the countryside and hard work.

Scott Wilson is an incredible actor who I've seen in so many things - In Cold Blood and The Ninth Configuration as a volatile, unpredictable young man whose moves I could never see coming, The Exorcist III: Legion as an eccentric, twitchy mad doctor, and The Walking Dead as the wise, quiet sage. In each of these films in each era, he's never been the same type of performer giving the same type of performance. He's so very different at each age - I mean, almost unrecognizable back then vs. today, but wonderful every time. I'm so glad people appreciate him today.

I think Daryl or Michonne would go back if they could. But it looked to me like the Governor had mutilated the head.

I would take the moment now to please remind everyone to consider playing Season 1 of Telltale Games's incredible The Walking Dead adventure game, which IMO is the equal of the show if not moreso. It's largely focused on choices and characters, but there is plenty of action and great drama with layered characters - also, it's available for just about any console, computer or phone or iPad to download. There's no excuse not to play it, especially with Season 2 of the game coming very soon. Try it!

Now that I think about it, Tyreese could end with the two older girls, the two younger children and Judith. Lizzie and her sister were probably running back to find the younger children who were hiding with Judith.

Whatever he chooses, it's almost certain that the psycho in the camp is that damn Lizzie. I've always believed that eventually she'd kill Carol, and I still wonder about that. But hey, Lizzie gets props for capping that chick.

Lizzie is crazy as hell. She is what Carl could have become without Rick's parenting. I would not be surprised if Lizzie kills her sister and everyone in sight.

BTW, let me just say "I told you so" that the kids learning to shoot would be more useful than learning to use a knife.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
