I was like Dang Marty, when I saw the way she was acting... I think that she's definitely going to try and get revenge on Natalie. I see her trying to make Natalie's life very difficult. I think that both her and later on Jessica are going to really make Natalie's life hard for a while.

Also I like to hear it when soaps make reference to other soaps. I thought that the Pine Valley/Jesse mentions today was cute. ^_^

I will say that as happy as I am to see Cole go by this point, and as much as I wish marty would behave more like a talented shrink, it's BS that everyone in town has no interest in helping her at all--after they basically all did for Natalie (as she mentioned) and certainly John is happy to turn a blind eye in even more extreme circumstances than someone killing a murderer who destroyed dozens of lives... It's not nearly as extreme, but it does make me think of when Vicki barely cared about Todd's role in everything, yet disowned Tina when she was trying to protect her daughter with the whole Tess story...

Maybe, I've been watching soap operas too long because every single show re-writes history in order to move the story along. This is not so bad, IMO.

I don't know. I think Clint is great right now and I think the stuff with Rex is interesting. It involves veterans.

BTW...silly is not the word that I wanted to use in my OP. I'm at work and had to type fast and couldn't really think of a better word. What I should have said is, it seems a bit over thought. No offense to anyone intended.

I think it's Charlene, but she wanted to keep the baby and Greg didn't. They argued- somehow she fell, hit her head and died. Since the police wouldn't believe him and he didn't want to make it worse for Shaun(yeah right) he just disposed of the body. They're making things up as they go along since Greg is leaving.

An edge? Hmm, I find Marty's dull as dirt in victim mode which is 90% of her stories. But sure is SH bringing out the crazy pscyho, I'm next on the train to St. Anne's acting. It's far more entertaining if predictable ending one can see a mile away.

I think that was some story Greg just fed Shaun. Charlene is so alive especially as SR is on contract now.

Yes but are the rewrites worth it? Was it worth saying that Mitch drugged and raped Viki on her living room sofa? Was that the only way to bring Natalie in? Was it worth having Mitch as Jessica's father? Or having Jessica put into kiddie porn because Niki took her to bars? Or the bizarre story where David was Bo's son through time travel, even though they barely ever speak and Bo couldn't care less about David basically vanishing for months on end? Or saying that Clint cheated on Viki for years, which makes a joke out of their marriage? Is that the only way to make the twitchy turd Rex into Clint's son? Is it even worth making Rex Clint's son, since it's just going to be the same old mugging from JPL until he tanks yet another storyline and they have to rewrite his paternity yet again?

Rewriting history if the story is worth it I can understand, like making Tina Viki's sister, or even having Todd as Viki's brother. Rewriting history because you have nothing else in mind is just a way to alienate the past and give very little in the present. It just gives you bland characters like Danielle the sullen shrieker or dead-end stunts like KAD and the incomprehensibly psycho Rebecca.

I wasn't crazy about making Clint into an Asa wannabe but at least that was based on his present. Now they are just trashing everything Clint ever was.

Cheap21, she had me in tears. Those were the emotional, raging scenes I expected for the TnT reunion. Trevor also woke up and delivered some heartfelt tender emotional material, too.

Ok, who took over writing? Because this show is suddenly delivering some really heartfelt and more complex scenes. Heck, even TT delivered pretty good acting in his halting apology to Tea. Shaun/Tea and Shaun/Vivian were good moments too and for once the Evans mom and pop didn't annoy me. They sold me how scared they were for their son, not quite grasping his life was ruined. That dovetailed nicely with Starr in denial that Cole is screwed. Brody displaying heartfelt concern for Natalie was a welcome surprise, too.
