Thanks. Given that he's 90 and seems happy and healthy, I guess Harrower was right...

Franko, the photos were probably from about a month or two earlier.

I miss the old charity softball games between soap casts. I remember one in the late 90s at Yankee Stadium for ALS research (Michael Zaslow was still alive then and was there to watch the game) with stars from various NYC soaps.

Ah, that makes sense, Carl. And thanks so much for all you're sharing. I wish TV Guide had a usable archive, or I was near my old college's library -- Michael Logan had a column talking about the Hayes in a production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf circa '93. What a night that had to have been.

And the one I'd really love to dig up is when a group of L.A. soap actors (SSH, Lynn Herring and a few others) gave their thoughts on Soapdish. I remember them being favorable toward it, but Susan said she would kill to know what Lucci thought!

SPW had an article asking actors the same question and the opinion was very mixed.

No offense to John Clarke, but I was always amazed at how his looks took Mickey from being in his 20's in the 1960's to his apparent 50's by the 1970's. No wonder his storylines dried out by the time the 1980's arrived.

To be fair though, John was 34 when Days started in 1965, so he was 49 as the 70's came to a close.

That was a really beautiful tribute. Maggie may annoy me with the Daniel propping, but I always smile when I see Suzanne on the show. Considering how long she's been on, and considering she has Myasynthia(sp?) Gravis which she was diagnosed in the 80's, she really has long been a success story. The bit of shade about past regimes was a nice touch...wink.png
