What I wouldn't give to watch that coronation massacre now and again... Days in 2001 tried to be all things--love stories, family stories, teen stories, social issues, crime stories, murder mysteries, evil twins, cheap stunts, and the kind of bizarre plot twists that seem uniquely Days. It was a foolish to mix all these ingredients and expect it to work. But, in an era of ever-decreasing ratings, and trigger-happy networks, Corday & Langan instituted a plan they thought would hold onto the viewers of the Reilly-era, but also keep the more traditional soap viewers.
