Actress Mira Waters appeared on ATWT around 64/65.

That would make her one of the first black actresses to appear on the show,I think.

Irna spoke at the time of her battles with P&G to have black performers on the show in substantial roles and not as janitors or waitresses.Perhaps she had a role as a nurse?would that have been unusual in those days?Mira Waters

I do not remember her.   The show sometimes showed nurses or secretaries who were African-American.    Actor P. J. Sidney appeared on the show, so maybe she was his character's date.   These performers rarely had speaking parts that I can remember, so it would have been unusual is this actress spoke.

I believe the first "adult-ish" Frannie was actress Terri Vandenbosch. Sadly, it appears she has passed away:  https://soaps.sheknows.com/as-the-world-turns/news/3808/as-the-world-turns-alum-passes-away-at-46/

I think this was posted a year ago. She was mistreated.

Has she spoken about AMC much. I thought she fit there well.

OH God, She was so Beautiful, died So Young only 46, that's sad she has passed quite some time ago, but does anyone have scenes with her as Frannie, i think it's no secret it's a passion of Many to Try to preserve the memory of Both Actors and Charaters

What a Little Search doesn't do apparently the First "Adult" Frannie was Helene Udy, she was born in 1962 and played Frannie for about 6 months from 1982 to 1983
